Oh FFS hope the Sun have this wrong Reeds decision to flog Fonte could now cost us the FA cup a place in Europe next season and upto £20m!! Nice work champ

Oriol Romeu signs new four and a half year deal!!

He could genuinely be a stayer, decent very decent but not quite top 6 decent. Could realistic see him stay here for lengh of the contract, but I said same about Fonte so who knows. Great news though COYR -
Could we get an emergency loan? What about Fonte from WHU?
-
TBF Puels incessant rotation takes no prisoners – even poor Shane Long was dropped after scoring a wonder goal and winner vs. Norwich I get the feeling that Puel might decide his teams a month in advance and if VVD isn’t fit for Wednesday we will have to play with 10 men
-
Totally agree. Some will argue that Reed has been unlucky with VVDs injury, but why gamble on it - particularly now so close to our biggest game of season. Fonte wouldn't refuse to play, hes said that. Reed also spoke about his professionalism and how if he stayed hed remain captain so there were no concerns with this side. Said at the time that it was potential suicide unless he announced his replacement that night as promised.... He didnt and now were sat going into this huge game with Jack whose had 80 mins at RB and 30 mins at CB partnering our no.3 (Yoshida) Total joke and could genuinely cost us a trophy

Maybe so many shorties due to the low barriers to entry just now? Jokes #banter #lads

Not sure you need to be a talent spotter to recognise that the current crop aren't of the same calibre of Shaw, Bale, Walcott, Aoc possibly even chambers. McQueen aside they do currently look average, but I'm hopeful that will change with game time. For all Sims praise and potential hes only been given 60 mins of Prem football since his debut in November, shows Puel isnt blown away just yet?
-
We couldn't be playing them at a better time. Plymouth restricted them to one goal in 180 minutes, Swansea gave them a thumping and even Sunderland took a point. Theyve not won any last 6 and we are already 1 up If we get at them early and snatch a goal could be game over and party time for us :)

Chelsea stock pile and loan - has made them an absolute fortune i guess. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4135274/amp/Sportsmail-s-estimates-fees-Chelsea-s-35-loanees.html?client=ms-android-samsung

Looked a great talent when he burst on the scene vs Everton back in November Slightly odd hes only been given 60 minutes of Prem football since. Possibly trying to coach the gung-ho out of him

Dortmund copying our model it seems http://dailym.ai/2iVQ64V

Nice cheeky win takes us back to 5th in "our league" and just 9 points off top/Everton With next 5 against Swansea, WHU and Sunderland followed by Arsenal and Watford we could easily pick up 10-12 points and things will look very different come start of March. COYR

Jagielka and Yoshida would be errrrr um yeah

Player fitness, rotation, training, etc.

I genuinely believe the incessant rotation is going to dramatically slow down now. It was (hopefully) an experiment that Reed wanted (Puel hasn't shown the same appetite for 6-7 changes every game in previous roles) Its cost us a genuine challenge for 6-7th this season + probably the Europe dream, but we still have the EFL cup and top 8 in the league still very much achievable. 1 change yesterday from the previous league game and we looked better (more connected) already -
To the untrained eye it probably looks the same - you're probably confused why our form end of last season is so different now when "we are playing the same way" I would like to say it's suitleties and give you a few clues, but the aporoach, the setup, the tempo was sooo very different today that if you genuinely didnt see it you never will. Below is a couple of pics - will initially look like two identical pics..... Look a tiny bit closer and you will spot a few differences mate. Todays performance is a bit like the below, lots of changes and hopefully the way forward for us.
-
Impossible not to. He only play 90 minutes in one game last season.... & Scored twice!!
-
Appreciate your point mate But there are chances and then there are 'chances' Jay scored from 3 yards out today - not seen him miss many/any from 3 yards this season. We have goal scorers in the side, problem is they have struggled to score as strikers are typically isolated and taking shots from range. Posted this before but it highlights the point ............. Jay before Puel - averages a goal every 2.8 games With Puel it’s 1 every 5.3 games Shane Long before Puel - averages a goal every 3.7 games With Puel it’s 1 every 13.5 games Tadic before Puel - averages a goal every 4.5 games With Puel it’s 1 every 26 games Boufal before Puel (Lille) – averages a goal every 3 games With Puel its 1 every 11 games
-
Window isnt shut yet so technically he hasnt fully lied If VVD misses midweek then replacing before selling (lack of) will bite us and him
-
Agreed (Batman) We played well vs AFCB, then lost 4 on the bounce. Consistency with team setup Consistency with team tempo Consistency with team lineups Consistency with our approach Puel has proved he can do it, just needs to find some consistency now.
-
Same but different hey mate See OP
-
Great news - will we need a new team captain this summer? Lets hope not. Good appointments
-
Never say never mate - Puel simply had to change things as he was heading for the exit fast. Huge game Wednesday hope he doesn't revert to defend and sideways mode. Lots of positives from today and we could salvage something from the season if we continue with today's approach
-
Reduce sideways passing - TICK Tadic wide left - TICK Redmond wide right - TICK Attacking football - TICK Get numbers into the box when we attack - TICK Reduce rotation league game to league game -TICK Quicker Tempo - TICK Almost like the whining t**ts know a thing or two? Great win, just hope VVD is ok or that decision to sell Fonte looks more daft. Well played JWP and Cedric today Upto 11th

Not hard to see why theyve won 0 away this season Total dedication to champions league could be dangerous
