Pound for pound we are a much stronger side than Sparta. Doubt a single Sparta player would even get on our bench. The Czech league is compatible our league 2 and that might be insulting Portsmouth. Never underestimate your opponent but we should be brushing aside teams like this - European experience or not.

You simply cannot compare us to anyone in the BPL as no other club sells it's best 3/4 players every single summer - none! And despite being the ONLY team to sell 3 of its best players we were also the ONLY team to have a large positive net spend this summer. We are unique but not in a positive way - the Southampton way appears to be the Tesco value way (taste is OK and you get used to it, it's cheap and not very nutritional. Some like it alot don't. The ones that like it will talk about starving children in Ethiopia and tell the rest to be grateful for the 6p can of beans)

Bloody good question. Tough one Would we not be best just finding and keeping these players? Maybe we can lose one (max) a season, but 3 or 4 every summer is really hard to watch.

Probably the best of a bad bunch so far. He's averaged 60 mind per game so far, not the bright start he was looking for I'm sure He will probably feel slightly embarrassed to win it given how poor we've been as a team thus far.
