  1. A genuine fan that has been posting and contributing (paying also) to the forum for years = A wannabe ITK that has posted nothing =
  2. To represent how many months he'll be here? (Jokes)
  3. Fair play to Palace - lost a couple but stronger than last season now.
  4. To close the gap we need to increase income on the commercial side. Since 2009 Spurs have increased commercial revenue by 300% (Man City 861%). SFC have increased 50% in the same period..... Leaves us on the same level as Swansea. Will we be able to improve this while selling our best players and losing our manager each summer? Unlikely
  5. From Arsenals bench to ours? Nah We have best pool of midfielders in Premier League
  6. You cannot compare and evaluate players from different leagues like this.... Leigh Griffiths scored 32 goals last season Diego Costa 11 - Leigh Griffiths is better Hatem Ben Arfa was one of the best players in the French league last season - averaged 1 goal per 2 games. In the premiership he averaged 1 in 11 and was pretty damn ordinary. Let's just give him time to settle in and find his feet without pressure
  7. I said better than most, not anyone else. Take Mane for example - I can't be bovered to trail through old posts but you'll recall he was given a hard time early on? I was one of the few posters at the time that could see the potential and defended him passionately (I was called a WUM for doing so - go figure lol) anyway I stuck by my senses and we know how that went. 5 or 6 similar examples over the years, I just seem to be able to see the bigger picture I guess. Watching some games twice (I do this alot) might help? I will sometimes watch a game and then watch just one player - I am looking at certain things and will evaluate a player on a number of things including Height, Heading, Jumping, Bravery, Anticipation, Composure, Leadership, Stamina, Positioning, Technique, Work Rate, Tackling, Agility, Natural Fitnes, Personality, Vision, Ball Control, Flair, Dribbling and Crossing, Quickness or Jumping, Finishing, Teamwork, Passing.
  8. Spot on.
  9. One of my heroes Professionalism is... and that is what I want.
  10. Puel has managed us for 9 games now, I've not seen anything in any of those 9 games to inspire optimism I am more patient than some on here, but also have a skill for spotting talent and lack there of before most. Should I wait for the rest to catch up before I can comment? Doing nothing and saying nothing does not make you a better fan...
  11. Let's just watch and say nothing, the club knows what it is doing..... This forum in 2007. 2 years later we were in league 1 and administration "That is all that the criminal wants of the law—to be let alone. The sin of doing nothing is the deadliest of all the seven sins. It has been said that for evil men to accomplish their purpose it is only necessary that good men should do nothing.”
  12. Slimani, Vardy, Musa and Okazaki and Ullua as backups... Lucky b-stewards Now that's the type of ambition I'd desperately like us to have

Saw earlier he's joined one the Chinese super payers, probably on crazy money. That ship has sadly sailed.

Seriously? Rooney!! They sold him 12 years ago lol Same season we sold Beattie, Crouch and Kenwyn Jones (and Leon Best and Brett Omerod lol)

Yep and the same Everton that have held onto Baines, Lukaku, Barkley ect ect Again it's back to football hierarchies and even United will lose a player of Real or Barcelona come knocking. But they don't actively operate a selling policy like us P.s Stones went to Man City not Chelsea

SFC extend contracts not to build or ensure continuity but to ensure they get maximum value when selling players. If Everton or Liverpool extend a player contract for 5 years the supporters can look forward to watching said player for err 5 years minimum. We on the other hand..... 2 years max
  17. Well done WBA - that's a decent signing. Spurs must have one or two lined up or they'll be light going into a long season with CL.
  18. Calum Chambers to Middlesbrough season long loan - SSN
  19. Appreciate its a bit simplistic but I don't have all the information available. Rough guess we must have a sizeable amount left after the Ins/outs this summer Can only assume we also had a bit to spend before any player sales
  20. Leaves us £25m to spend and we've had a net nil transfer spend this summer
  21. Sofiane Boufal joins Southampton on a five-year contract
  22. In fairness Andy has posted some ITK stuff in the past and with his son does alot of player analysis One of my favourite posters
  23. Are you suggesting another Ramieriz?
  24. I like what I see in Burke and disappointed we couldn't beat Red Bull Leipzig to his signature. He is 6'2 and strong and would give us that physical aspect that we are missing. Current squad looks too lightweight and short IMHO. Adding Boufal at 5'8 soon too
  25. Absolutely no chance we will sign Boufal and Saido Berahino. 1) too much money 2) both players have a reputation for being trouble and the club won't risk adding two to the squad 3) would be too good to be true 4) too much money
