The premiership is one of the most physical and if you watched us against United you saw us being bullied and beaten to nearly every header. Firstly thank you redslo for your messaured and detailed reply. I am similar to nick here and do wonder why all debts, expenses and stadium / training ground improvements are ALL funded by transfer monies. Last season we received £85 million from TV and merit money and this season this is expected to be closer to £100 million..... If we are using transfer money to operate the club what is happening to this significant income? Let's not forget also about match day income circa £20 million a year and commercial income £10-15 million a year.

If the club gave Fonte a gentleman's agreement that he could leave if X,Y,Z the club need to honour that gentleman's agreement or risk losing credibility with the rest of the squad. Sadly I think the club will fairly commonly make these gentleman's agreements and it's coming back to bite us.

What I do find odd is posters like myself and batman who post regularly about the club showing more ambition so we can succeed on the pitch are called negative posters Odd
