Do they all have squads that cost £300m? I suspect we are easily top 10 in squad cost, but bottom 5-10 in terms of quality

If only it was that simple. Player scored X in Swiss league so likely to score Y in premier league. Tons of examples where players excel in other countries but don't have the make up for the Premier league. With respects it's kinda Les Reed and Wilson's job to get these fundamentals right. What do the best wingers in the Premier league have in common? A mix of pace, skill, strength, crossing / dribbling / shooting ability, endurance and confidence and ability to beat your man. No, I thought we have invested what we have received. As I know in the past you’ve spent hours searching through my posts across this and other forums to try and prove a point I’ll caveat that by saying it is possible that I may have had a rant about us not spending so there may be a post or two that says that. But there are plenty of others where I say we have spent alot (but badly) and that was and still is my view.

Lots of talk about club working within limitations and how difficult it is for us to compete. Our squad has cost c£300 million and our wage bill is c£100 million a year No excuses for our dismal performances/results and average squad. One of the most expensive squads in Europe and one of the highest wage bills too

You do realise that Spurs have been finishing top 6 before Mopo arrived? 5 consecutive years before he arrived in fact and pretty dominate top 6 finishes since 2005. In the 80s they had 7 top 6 finishes, so this is nothing new for them. They've won the league, the FA cup multiple times, league cup, eufa cup ect ect ect We are not talking about a miracle here with a tin pot club. Been saying the same thing. Yes our academy has dried up and the "talent" is average but so is our recruitment. We've spent nearly £300 million on our squad and it's pretty pants.
