Poor, poor, poor, blah blah blah. The way I see it is we got the same result there as Liverpool did. Usually at this stage of the season we're hovering around 17th and nervously looking over our shoulders so I'm quite satisfied with a point and a healthy league position.

I'm usually optimistic of our chances against anyone but I just can't see us getting anything here. City may not be as incisive as in recent years but they are masters at keeping the ball and passing the opposition to death, which could leave us camped out in our own half and expending energy trying to get the ball back. Keeping possession will be vital if we're going to get anything from this game.

As the commentator said, everything is reviewed. If it had been given against us we'd all be fuming, I think it was a fair shout. Saints very easy on the eye tonight and although we should have been more aggressive when against 10 men I'm not unhappy with a point.

It's nice to see some optimism here for a change but talk of being champions is wildly ott after 12 games. If we're still there or thereabouts after 30/32 games then I'll dare to dream but in the real world top 6 would be amazing.
