Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table? Newcastle fans probably, maybe Brighton fans too. -
I do hope this is an attempt at humour. Understand, keepers aren't expected to save penalties. They are attempting to stop a ball kicked at them from 12 yards out at a speed of roughly 70 mph into an area 24 feet x 8 feet. If a keeper saves a good penalty then it's a massive bonus and almost purely down to luck.

I'm usually one of the more optimistic people here but can't see anything other than a defeat. Hopefully we can keep it respectable.

Has he got a fountain of youth in his garden??

1) You probably won't be. 2) I didn't.

You're beginning to sound obsessed.

As in Fulham fans or George Michael? -
If KWP is not out It's hard to see anything other than a comfortable Chelsea win too.
-
There's no reason why all 11 players can't shout/point/motivate, the captain is just a figurehead who calls the toss of the coin and collects any trophy (obviously that second part doesn't apply to us).
-
No, it was Redmond's fault, why didn't he drop onto the goal line to clear the shot?
-
Can you show us on the doll where Redmond touched you?
-
0-3, two own goals by Redmond before he concedes a penalty and gets sent off, because he's soooo POOR. Am I doing this right?
-
He hasn't been 'poor' for a while, what are you basing this on? He's a good solid keeper who makes the occasional error like every keeper, even the very best, and the whole 'beaten at the near post' thing is an out-dated myth that lazily gets used to throw keepers under the bus. Read and learn. https://www.keeperportal.co.uk/myth-goalkeepers-beaten-near-post/ http://blamethekeeper.blogspot.com/2011/02/what-pundits-get-wrong-about.html

I love how the reasoning behind the clamour to reinstall Forster is that he hasn't monumentally fucked up in his 4 game season. Macca will be back against Wolves and rightly so.
-
McCarthy back for the league please.
-
Wrong. According to the stats McCarthy has made zero errors that lead to a goal this season. 16 goals against in 4 games is very misleading and says more about Saints' general recent performances than Macca's. He's a far better all round keeper than Forster.
-
If I had to choose I would say cup but the chances of winning it are very slim.
-
A lot of people with short memories here. Forster was a liability before he was dropped and shipped off to Celtic, crap with his feet and about as mobile as a statue. Macca hasn't done too much wrong this season, even the best screw up from time to time, case in point being Allison against City and I doubt there's any support for him being dropped. Play Forster in the cup and leave McCarthy in the team for the league.

15 years ago and not particularly relevant.

Disappointing but at the end of the day it's just a game. At least we scored, that's something. right? Surprised that 5 defeats on the trot is a top flight record for us (breaking records all over the place), I would have thought we'd have manged more than 5 in the 90's when we were proper shit.
-
Have we been unlucky with ref/VAR decisions in the previous 4 games.

The last 0-9 (didn't think I'd ever be writing that) served as a kick up the backside and the team went on a decent run, hopefully this cluster fuck will have the same effect. I wonder if Angus Gunn has a slight spring in his step tonight?
