To be fair to Forster not one defender kept with Van Persie, their most dangerous player and we leave him unmarked!
-
Yoshi having a good game.
-
Mane, I despair!
-
Ok Pele against Man U.
-
Anyone remember the last shot we had on target in a game?
-
A few games back whenever we attacked we looked like scoring, for some reason now we do not look like threatening at all.
-
I think we will get a couple in but probably players abroad who we have never heard of ala Tadic & Pele....no bad thing!. Maybe Ings but not sure he would push Ronalds buttons. I think we need a creative midfielder who can bed in and be ready to replace Morgan when he leaves.

Good write up in the Guardian from last night
Saint Billy replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Frankly Trousers, No!. One shot on target!. That doesn't mean to say we performed badly despite the injuries etc, but had it not been for Forster it would have been a bigger scoreline. We were pretty unaffective up front. Got to say though, only one man in their side made the difference. Good almost convincing argument though Trousers. -
On a train back from game. First half not too bad but not much threat on their goal apart from Pele missing an opportunity, but defence held firm and didn't give them many chances. Second half we were dissapointing and the only chances we had were ballooned over the bar. Injuries are now hitting us hard and could assist us in sliding down a few more places. What worries me is the sudden dip in form which for me started at the Villa game. We are desperately short of game changers on the bench and now with the injuries desperately short full stop.

Sorry Lou but I'm going tonight and I have never seen saints win at the Arse, I missed the League cup win. I hope you bring your luck with you tonight!

Dreading going up the Arse now. We were well and truly found out today. Not sure about the changes at half time not that it would have changed much. Whats happened to Tadic and Pelle? Mane can't stay on his feet, but the most dissapointing is the loose passing, wasted corners and free kicks. In total, a different side from that of a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago we would have given City a game but for some reason we are suddenly now looking poor. Whats happened?

Two big f'ups from Victor.
-
We do need more strength in depth, our bench is a bit lightweight.
-
Toby not doing bad in midfield to be fair apart from the stray pass for their goal, would have prefered Gardos at cb though
-
Selfish from Mane, through ball to Pelle was on.
-
Why do we keep gifting it to Hart all the f#cking time.
-
What is up with Tadic, he's right off the pace.
-
They are playing us at our own game so far.

The guy cannot even pronounce half the premier league footballers names correctly and thats if he even recognises them. He can't even remember that he has actually covered the saints game against Swansea as Saints Foreva mentioned. Regardless whether he is anti saints or pro saints or if he is an ex skate, Merson should do his homework if he is a football pundit and have some knowledge of his subject matter.
-
I don't like the bloke but to be fair he is right about the Villa game. We played like we expected an easy game and nearly came a cropper. But the one big mistake he is making is forming his opinion on the only game he has seen us play. If he was doing his job properly he should spread his game viewing over all the prem teams rather than just watching wall to wall Arsenal. Imo the Villa game is the worst we've played all season but mug Merson assumes that is how we have played all season so far.

My BBC news app credits Mitchell with finding Pelle, Tadic and Mane, hold on a minute, isn't there just a chance that Ronald already had previous knowledge of these guys.

Not sure if a City win was good or bad for us but, Bayern did not have to win the game and they had 10 men for most of the match. One thing is for sure though, we need to put in a much better display than we did against Villa. Aguero was the difference for City, apart from him they looked ordinary.
