18 goals in his first season in the PL for a relegated side is a good indication of how good he is. Snap him up I say even for 15 mill.

I remember just snippets of that game, a very wet night and Andelecht had the better of us. I do remember Jim being caught flat footed on a few occasions that night but the conditions were aweful and anyone was liable to make a mistake. More than likely it was to be saints who made the errors as they stretched us all night. Jim Steele was a tough defender and went in hard. A true blood and guts player of whom I have great although fading memories.

Manager of the year should be relative to the financial value of his players. I do like the special one but jeeze he should do well when you think what he has at his disposal. Not sure of the value of the Swansea squad but Monk has done wonders considering his financial restrictions. There must be a maths guru here who could work this out, it would be interesting to see how Ronald would fair!

We dont do too well when Morgan's not in the side so we will have to use his money to get a decent midfielder to replace him. We will need to spend 15 mill alone to replace him, so total spend will have to be 30 mill at least.

I think the op is getting uneccessary grief on here. I'm sure Ronald is more in tune with the op than you guys on here who seem quite happy to see our season which offered so much end like this. As Ronald indicated, too many players yet again pondering their big money moves again in the summer and not giving their all to the current task in hand. Having just had my prostate removed I am a huge bedwetter but at least it is for a reason, and that sentiment also applies to the op who also has every reason to be narked by the capitulation of our team who we know have the ability to beat anyone on their day but have chosen not to make the effort when it counts. Viva la bedwetters !!!

What an anti climax the second half of this season has been.

I had to google the word "Niggardly" which is a new one on me.

I tend to agree with the op that the persistent and it seems annual rumours of players wanting to leave for bigger and better things can't help the momentum. Saints really need to find a way of stopping this exodus every season or there is no way on earth we can sustain rebuilding every summer and it will end in eventual relegation. For me it is getting tiresome and taking the joy out of following saints and football in general.

Hopefully now Pelle will end the season like he started it!

What do people expect on a footy forum.....love, peace and harmony? Some on here really need to get out of the kitchen if they can't handle it. This place will get even more sterile without the likes of Turkish in it and we might as well get use to threads such as "Saints players cars".

I will miss the straight talking and honesty of Turks whether if he is wrong or right in his debating. Life is getting too PR these days turning everything into grey blandness. Speak as you feel is almost at an end these days and yet the world seems to be getting more violent and perverse with every growing second. Long live Turks and long live the right for free speach.

I'm not as excited as I use to be regarding JWP. Basically he has become an ordinary player with nothing special to offer. His dead ball kicking is not as good as everyone makes out and very rarely finds a team mate. Tackling is weak and shooting worse. Seems like a nice lad but is not developing his game and for me he is not premier league quality.

Could have won that if we had a poacher. Good result though.
