Not good but just shows how frustrated fans are.

Starting with the bad. We are really in serious sh*te now and only a sudden and extended run of wins will save us. The Good. This may well be the straw that broke the camel's back and could well see Lowe gone along with JP and his team of nice but clueless coaching staff. There really must now be serious rumblings within the powers that be and unless they are all dead in the brain department surely heads will roll.

Time for some good old fashioned name dropping
Saint Billy replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
When I was a teenager in the early 70's my very first job was working at Holt & Haskells sports shop in Shirley. We use to have several saints players come in and hampshire cricket players. I use to often serve Mick Channon and I think Brian O'Neil who were always game for a laugh. Their main and frequent purchase was shotgun catridges for hunting, can you imagine selling that over a counter now. My wife also use to know Mick reasonably well and he brought her son a signed saints football which he proceeded to take outside and kick about and puncture, I will never forgive him! My wife also use to have the odd drink in the Bugle in Botley, one day she walked in and got hit by a wet bread roll on the back of the head, turned round to see Mick Channon laughing his socks off. He's a boy! BTW, well done Fitzhugh Fella for not rising to the bait of the Sundance Skid! -

God what a tw*t. The world has moved on for the worst which is why some of us take comfort from the past. You are simply as arrogant and irritating as your chum Lowe whose arse you have your nose in. ITN :smt044 -
Hopefully we are learning to grind out results instead of relying on the pretty stuff. Well done the lads. Please please please keep it going back at home. If we don't win at home we are still doomed.

This is the only photo we have of Barry the briefcase and his team presenting their investment plan to Rupert Lowe (out of screenshot). After the meeting Rupert Lowe was heard to say to other sfc board members that he was slightly suspicious of these guys as it seemed they had no proof of funds.

Put them by a pond and let the ducks sh*t on them.

Really! and what do you base this on?

Are or were, what is it?

Our academy is on the decline because we have not got a decent enough first team to bring these kids into which is extremely harmful and destructive to those kids who have real talent, just look at Lallana now compared to how he was. This is where Lowes plan becomes unhinged.

I suspect that this is closer to the truth.

There is not much else regarding saints to discuss is there? Saints losing, JP not having a clue, team selection, best players leaving, 2nd from bottom of the league, all have one common link. More intersting than your ITK titbits earlier in the season that died a death, at least SaintRobbie is discussing what is really happening rather than some pie in the sky buyout that was never going any where.

RhinNY, are you losing the faith?

Have to agree with you. The appointment is almost as risky as JP and friends coming here.

Saints at present remind of an old John Smiths advert where there are a group of lads participating in a bit of fancy ball skills and Peter Kay comes along and belts the ball as hard as he can whilst saying "ave it". You can see other sides just sit back and let us get on with it because eventually they know that we are going to give it back to them without any real pressure. The simple fact is that most other sides seem to be well organised and we just seem to run about like nervous chicken tippy tapping it about almost as if they are too scared to hold onto the ball for long. I am not blaming the players, they are simply doing what they are instructed to do. I use to feel sorry for JP but now I am feeling really sorry for the players who surley have lost any belief thay had in the management and the system they are being asked to play. Most of us knew this when the two words "Total Football" was first ever mentioned regarding saints before the start of this season. The whole idea was ill conceived and badly implemented. It might have work for the dutch side 30 years ago but they had the quality players to carry it off, it certainly has not worked for us or was ever going to. A well drilled and organised ,side no matter what style it plays, will 9 out of 10 times turn us over despite all the pretty passing. It might be admired by onlookers in as much as we are trying to play attractive football, but as this is a results driven business it is lunacy and in no why a style to play when you are simply trying to survive. Everyone seems to complain about the long ball game, but I would have much rather had the likes of Billy Davies put a side together with a restricted budget, but a side that was difficult to beat and a side that would grind out results on a regular basis. That surley would have been more preferential than the state we are in at the moment. A few more wins and a more healthier league position would be enough entertainment for me at this moment.

Very very good post, says it as it really is.

I am starting to hate Lowe more than I do Pompey. Jeese, we need to do something quick!

Ok then, if we played Waterlooville in the FA cup, I suspect that they would have a real good go at us despite the fact that they are in a much lower division. I would suspect that they would actually test our goalkeeper on a few occasions. Did that happen with us when playing Man U? Where was the giant killing football that you see every year in the FA cup?. I saw none of the, lets get at them lads, we are going to lose but lets at least have a go attitude. It was not there to be seen. If the pundits can see it, the media see it, the neutrals like my cousin who is gunners through and through can see it and comment that we are a very poor outfit, if a majority of Saints fans can see it, how can some on here not?. There is no excuses, we were timid and too frightened to even attack them. The confidence of the team is at an all time low and basically our players trot out expecting to get beat. That is very sad and just proves to me that the club from top to bottom is dying.

I know it has been mentioned many times before but unless the fans unite and boycot, this mess will continue. It is the only one and true effective weapon we hold, and yes it will hurt the club but the eventual gain is worth it. And to all those that respond with "what are the alternatives", the alternatives are that Lowe will not be orchestrating our doom and that a manager can be put in place who knows what he is doing.

Well cop this prof, I thought our performance was timid and feckin gutless. You would have thought that as we had nothing to lose and that it was Man U that we would at least have a damn good go at them like many of the other lower league sides have this weekend. There are absolutely no excuses for not trying to make game of it. I was actually bored watching that and yet again the management and team produce a display not worthy of the stadium being full. All this damn square passing and poor passing at that achieves absolutely feck all and 9 times out of 10 we end up giving the ball back to the opposition. This is a kids team playing kids football with zero direction and for the life of me I cannot understand anyone that witnessed that making excuses for it. We had the dream draw that all the lower league sides dream of and we went out with a whimper. If you can't raise your game for Man U who are you going to raise it for. And Frank, I have enjoyed your posts in the past, and maybe you are right about the finances maybe not, who knows these days with the bunch of buffoons running our club, but stop defending the indefenceable. You can only use the limited fund excuse for so long. There are many other clubs in dire straights financially who are still managing to produce a competetive side and a side that would of at least made a game of it againts ManU.
