I am clinging on to the hope that Hughes would not have signed up for the job unless he had assurances he could sign some decent upgrades. Hughes does not come across as the type who will take a job just for the sake of it and accept no means of squad improvement.

I doubt if we are even interested, we just dont buy players who have proven premiership abilty, our type of signing is a bench warmer from europe who is just getting over a long term injury and struggles to settle in a different country.

Agree with that, felt extremely sorry for Karius. It’s a shame because I thought he had a pretty decent season since he replaced Mignolet. The lack of compassion in that team is unbelievable but I am trying to remember if Forster got any when he made similar gaffs this season, cant remember.
