The trouble with English players is that they very rarely have the ability to transfer their club form to the international stage apart from a very few exceptions like Kane. They seem to become inhibited when they pull on an England shirt and become totally unrecognisable. As an example, Rashford would of buried that chance playing for Man U.
Rashford is looklng particularly crap tonight, Vardy is very none Leicester, lets face it, we look very ordinary against anyone half decent. We are a one man team in Kane, very much like saints in the past without Legod.
Morgan Schneiderlin may be sold by Everton. Hasn't been the same player for them but I would take him back at the right price, gamble I know but could just happen for him back with us.
Good: We are still in the premiership.
Bad: We nearly got relegated from the premiership.
Ugly: No sign atm that we are building a team to keep us in the premiership.
I am clinging on to the hope that Hughes would not have signed up for the job unless he had assurances he could sign some decent upgrades.
Hughes does not come across as the type who will take a job just for the sake of it and accept no means of squad improvement.
Agreed, l actually liked the home kit designs as well, just a shame that the material quality was awful. Didn’t a poster called Gecko Saint play a part in the design?.
I doubt if we are even interested, we just dont buy players who have proven premiership abilty, our type of signing is a bench warmer from europe who is just getting over a long term injury and struggles to settle in a different country.
Agree with that, felt extremely sorry for Karius.
It’s a shame because I thought he had a pretty decent season since he replaced Mignolet.
The lack of compassion in that team is unbelievable but I am trying to remember if Forster got any when he made similar gaffs this season, cant remember.
