  1. God I hope Redmond leaves for pastures new.
  2. Good effort jack
  3. Not sure Michael Douglas will approve.
  4. Me too, I feel bloody worse than the Swansea game.
  5. I think my favourite track is the first one “Oblivion”, not sure why!. These are just my views so take them with a pinch of salt, being 61 I am well out of the musical loop now and have been an ex pro for near on 25 years, but I do think what you are producing is very polished, you are obviously good musicians with good vocals. Just to give you an idea of what I was badly conveying to you in my previous post, there was a band in the late 80’s early 90’s that had reasonable success called “It Bites”, they are still gigging but with a new singer/guitarist and bass player, this Youtube link is a gig they did in 2010 and although what they do now is probably dated listen to how the songs are constructed with lots of light and shade, hooks, middle 8’s etc, Biffy Clyro do this as well which just adds more interest to the song. Again, I am well past my sell by date so dont take my views as gospel as the music scene has changed since I was involved in it, but I am still a firm believer that a good song always contains hooks, atmosphere, drive, light and dark. All the best for the future, get a band together as you need to be performing live. Anyways, back to the nerve jangling saints, cant think clearly until this afternoons done with.
  6. Great name for a band.
  7. Just let in 10 tomorrow Alex, that'll put them off the scent......................oh.
  8. Have listened to the tracks. My sort of music definitely as I am not a lover of the current over produced plastic music apart from the odd exception. I am an ex pro musician myself and was in a couple of local southampton rock bands in the 90’s, Kuba and Emotional Blackmail, plus I had a stint as a keyboard player for Mungo Jerry, although not my type of music but I did it for the experience until I upset Ray Dorset by backing out of a big tour. Please accept criticism as a positive and disregard if appropriate as I am now what is considered to be in the old fogey stage. The songs are well written but there needs to be more light and shade as most of the songs go at it right from the start, plus there needs to be more atmospherics either with the use of keyboards or by mixing. Not a perfect example as they are a completely different style of rock to you, but Rammstein’s use of quiet then full on, keyboards, driving guitars then strings etc gives you the light and shade. My opinion only for what it is worth, but great to hear someone still producing rock songs and at a pretty good standard, with experience you can only get better. Might be a good idea to get a full compliment behind you because my Band Emotional Blackmail was a full lineup but because of politics we reduced it to a 2 piece and it never really produced the dynamics of a proper band set up.
  9. I think having a thread this long unfortunately means that we are as infactuated with them as they are with us. Close the thread ffs.
  10. Absolutely !!. I don't care a jot what Stoke fans and players think of him, he has definitely worked for us, whether its being an ex saints player or whatever the reason, the improvements and his passion for Sfc have been plain to see. I have not been left confused by his team selection or set up as I have been with the last couple of managers and it is really refreshing to have a manager who I can understand and relate too. I was against his appointment but am really pleased to be won over even if the unbelievable happens tommorow.
  11. If it was the Sky interview after the game I cant remember Austin being complacent, and if he was give him a little slack after just walking off from a do or die match which we just narrowly won, euphoria and all that.
  12. Target is good but not premiership good.
  13. This must be one of the only games in 55 years of supporting saints that I would condone setting up very defensively.
  14. Its about time Crouch done us a favour, I can still see him not holding the ball up by the corner flag against Everton I think when we got relegated last time. Still nervous about this game even though the odds are stacked in our favour.
  15. Wasn't there a rumour going about a little while ago that Reed was looking for another job?.
  16. My thoughts exactly but I am concerned Reed will conspire another major heads gone moment.
  17. Les didn't pull the trigger at the right time, it was far far too late. Despite the fact that Pellegrino should not have been employed in the first place, he was allowed to f@ck the team up for far too long. Hughes has made a big difference and his knowledge and experience in this league has improved us undoubtedly. McCarthy has been immense and has also been a big factor but I think Hughes should get the biggest pat on the back as he took over and improved what can only be described as a mess of a team.
  18. Yep agree with that.
  19. 100% this.
  20. Absolutely especially the ©unts bit.
  21. Sparkey has to have job without fail.
  22. Absolutelyfekinlovely!!!!!!!
  23. Looking through my fingers now.
  24. Please not the extra time jinx.
