Begbies Traynor take their money way before the end. They get theirs directly from SLH's Barclays bank account before any other creditor gets a penny. The order will be something like...Begbies Traynor, employees, HMRC, preferred creditors, ordinary creditors and then if there's any left, chuckle, chuckle, the shareholders. The end is not administration but liquidation and that may happen first, if all we've got is two Irish bullsh !tters and a lardass dreamer. I'm sure Clapham will be on soon to correct this and defend Mr. Fry. I happen to think Fry and his ilk are bottom feeders and his company will be dipping their sticky fingers deep into the buckets that the fans were working hard to fill for this very eventuality....

Fry is a partner and will get a share of whatever profit Begbie Traynor makes together with a monthly salary, IMHO. Dave Jones is not an employee of SFC, but a Director of SLH. His contract would have been terminated and he is just one of the creditors of SLH for anything they owe him, under his contract beyond his minimum government funded redundancy package (f*** all, in other words). IMHO he will be working at an daily rate paid for by the administrator. Accountants and lawyers look after their own....

I am sure that the employees of SFC will be heartened to know that Fry will still get paid on time and that in all likelyhood the only director of SLH they have kept on, Dave Jones, will get a fee for showing Fry how bad the books look like....

During the last two home games, I had a different fan sitting next to me telling me proudly how he'd stayed away because of Rupert Lowe and now he was gone, he'd bought a matchday ticket. It was like meeting a long lost relative that turns up at a relative's funeral, having failed to visit them when they were alive. I hate every f***er on this website that has boycotted the club and brought us to this and I read their self serving bullsh !t posts with disdain. The problem is that there are so many long distance stay aways that post boll ox on here that people think they also represent the fans that stuck with the club, irrespective of who was on the board or whether we were winning. You're right and so is Stu. You don't deserve this situation and I wasn't suggesting that. I'm sorry if it wasn't clearer...

of an investor buying the club? Anyone with a passing interest in our club will have noticed how failure, or even class background, was punished by many fans. Some simply boycotted, on the basis that until Lowe left, they would stop going, even being encouraged by the prospect of administration making his departure more likely. We now have the same fans begging for a new owner to invest many millions in rescuing us and I have some sympathy for these potential investors, people like Gavyn Davies, thinking carefully about the consequences. Failure in how fans are treated, how succesfull the team is, whether the right manager is chosen may result in the same outcome. A disagreement about the running of the club and the same whining cry babies will go shopping instead of cheering the team on. A no win situation for someone like Mr. Davies, even if the club may be a good investment. The chance to become a hate figure and losing upwards of a £25M investment? No thanks... In the end, those fans will get the club they deserve...and it may be no club at all....

Total ******....unsecured creditors, maybe, but if Aviva are expecting 10p in the pound for St. Mary's Stadium, ie £2.4M, I'll buy it tomorrow....

The normal course of events is to agree a price in principle, provide a deposit binding both parties, together with proof of funds. I can't quite understand how proof of funds, ie a letter from their accountant/bank confirming that the buyer has sufficient funds for the agreed sum, would "push the price up". The more likely explanation is that the guys worth "big bucks" have walked away and a substitute sugar daddy is being sought. Then again, what do I know....?

That is no problem for a lawyer and normal practice when buying a company. You simply adjust the offer price for any material change in the value of the assets between exchange of contracts, payment of deposit and completion. The problem is the money, IMHO, not the audited accounts of a plc....

The Echo says that the holdup is a delay in Pinnacle signing a legal contract which commits them to paying a £500K non-returnable deposit...

A minor point.....Southampton Football Club happen to play at St. Marys (Owned by SLH), FFS. You're assuming that the bidder buying St. Marys Stadium is not Toys "R" Us looking to relocate....

The companies that Lynam is a director of are, according to the accounts he has lodged at Companies House, potless. He is Irish and lives in Locks Heath. Can you highlight in bold which "accusation" your mate would find "insulting"?
