Average talent? One of the best defenders I have seen kick a football and a decent track record as a manager including getting us to finish 7th and 6th despite losing so many good players? I don't agree with the way he left but he did an excellent job for us and to say the bloke is average is nonsense.

No. They clearly are not up to the standard of the likes of Shaw. You play them if they are good enough. You don't play them just because they are from the youth system.

There was a meltdown two years ago. There was a meltdown last year. A meltdown has already started this summer and will be underway properly when a few players leave again.
