  1. I suppose if you want success at any price Jose is your man. Personally I prefer Ron and can live with the lack of success if it means the club have some integrity. Lets face it, if United don't win anything they cant console themselves with another year of improvement. Ron could leave now without winning a thing and still be a winner in our hearts (well most of us). Jose has to win at least the Premiership but will be expected to win the CL and if he doesn't he is a failure.
  2. Probably wants to play with Gaston.
  3. Makes Vic look like David Walliams!
  4. And I seem to remember him scoring a perfectly good header at Old Trafford only to have it disallowed because I assume you are were not allowed to score at Old Trafford if you were the away side!
  5. Paul Rideout. Not terrible but not in the same class as the strikers he followed in those days and a big let down for me.
  6. Going back into the mists of time, Frank Saul. He came from Spuds in exchange for Martin Chivers and boy did we get the sh*tty end of that deal!
  7. To turn it around - a signing I wasn't happy with but ended up being well chuffed with was........Carlton Palmer!
  8. An excellent suggestion Whitey!
  9. If there is one thing that we can say conclusively that has come out of this whole saga it is that no important decisions should be left to the British public. I include in that voting in a Government.
  10. I am with you David. He spent a lot of the second season out injured and I was hoping he would stay for another season to make up for it. Didn't he fall out with Big Mac?
  11. Why meddle with it? Leave it as it is apart from give a CL place to the winners. As least you would have another "champion" in the CL instead of a poor runner up (4th place). Agree with not playing the semis at Wembley too. Keep that for the final otherwise it loses its value.
  12. Sorry, don't understand? What is the club's fault?
  13. Reading the earlier posts and seeing some of the names involved in some mega wrist slitting is quite amusing. I had forgotten what a big part Sarnia played in this at the time and it was almost as good as his What is Wrong With America stuff. Interesting to see my stalker buddy right there with the wrist slitting brigade. There is a simple lesson to be learnt from all of this. Do not throw your dummy out of the pram until you have a very good reason to.
  14. disorderly
  15. "We had a shaky period after Christmas but there was no pressure or major panic or disaster." Les clearly doesn't come on TSW then!
  16. I am not sure why you are having a dig again. Really, what is the point? If you don't like my posts just don't bother to read them. I am not sure what "staying the obvious" means? Just to help you along again I was following up on what another poster said earlier about terrorists targeting economic targets rather than soft (human) targets. Get it yet?
  17. I agree, wasted by WGS and he was awesome in that game against Spuds. Fit wife too!!
  18. I live not far away from a nuclear power station. I am sure security is tight there but you can get very close to it and I am sure it wouldnt take too much to do it some serious damage. If migrants can find there way into the channel tunnel it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to plant a bomb in there. A few well placed bombs around the M25 would cause havoc in the SE. There are many ways in which terrorists could cause mayhem but at present they just seem intent on soft targets ... us.
  19. Don't really know what this means? Is one terrorist more dangerous than another?
  20. Yep, Alan McLoughlin for me. Our first £1m player I believe and a total let down.
  21. So it has been announced that "Gashton" has finally been released by the club. This could be the first day in the history of The Saints Web that Alpine has cracked a smile.
