A man who transcended the sport that made him famous. Very sad the way he went downhill. A true legend.

There are a number of issues with this but I will just raise a couple. 1. We have no idea what Ron has been offered by Everton, or if he has been offered anything at all. 2. I expect we have a figure in our budget for wages from the grounds man up to the manager. As with the players, I doubt if there is a great deal of wiggle room in what we want to pay our manager. If I were Les I certainly wouldn't want to be made to dance to another clubs tune when it comes to wages. If indeed that is what is happening, which we don't know is the case.

Perhaps Guan 2.0 has signed for Everton?

Yeah I know, Heaven forbid that we show any signs of optimism and positivity! On the plus side though this does, as far as I can see, look like one of those stories with no foundation that has grown wings and taken off big time.

Unless they couldn't agree and Les has said that we are better off looking for a new manager for next season on. But at the moment it does look like it is all b*ll*cks so I wouldn't panic yet.

That is assuming that this stuff is coming out of Everton? Maybe it is a third party stirring things up?

When Ron goes I am sure it will be to a bigger club than Everton.

This all depends if Ron actually is their no. 1 target.

Interesting programme on the other night by Dan Snow which pointed out that the German ships took more hits but stayed afloat whereas many of ours sunk with fewer hits. Also that tactics/communications had barely changed since Nelson's days.

Is it just me, or do others think that people who feel the need to end their posts with "HTH" suffer from passive aggressive tendencies?

Probably came about because he was pictured sitting next to Shane Long's agent (who is probably an agent of a number of others in the game too).

If you had heard some of the arguments I have heard about either staying in or leaving the words "surprisingly intelligent" would not apply.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume that David Mitchell actually speaks for a great many people. This is a hugely important decision that could end up swinging on the votes of xenophobes.
