Not much point in being the most powerful man in the West then! He could bring more pressure to bear and push for the total ban on automatic weapons to start with. Someone needs to make a stand and what better person to come out and start the ball rolling than the Head Honcho?
-
I agree with this. I was gutted last night and there is no point in pretending that there were any positives to take from that performance. but it hasn't been a bad season so far and it wasn't that long ago that we turned over Chelsea. Just as we are not world beaters when we have a good run, neither are we the worst team in the world when we lose a few matches. Trouble is it swings from one extreme to the other here.

This seems strange. Having c*cked up once they give her the chance to do it again?

It will never end until someone has the balls to take the issue of gun ownership head on. It is all very well Obama saying that these things are awful, do something about it!
-
Which shots last night should he have saved?
-
Another negative post from Alpine.
-
Hopefully the fact that he has now been found guilty of murder will make early parole less likely.
-
His fitness levels are clearly not right yet and there are plenty of players who come in from abroad who take time to settle into the Premiership. I wouldnt worry about how much he cost. If he goes on to become a quality player for us that £8m will be seen as a bargain.
-
I agree about Reed, I was thinking more about Gallagher. I still think that we have yet to see the best of Clasie.
-
After the mistakes that Yoshida has made this season and the fact that Ron thought that Caulker did ok when he came on on Saturday I don't think it was unreasonable to play Caulker from the start. I think most of us would have looked at the team and been happy with it from the start and for the first 20 minutes. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
-
But what if he is not good enough yet? Shaw and others got their chance because they clearly were.
-
Because some posters are desperate to prove that they didn't wet their beds for nothing over the last two summers. We are a decent team but we have had some awful luck with injuries right from pre season and I still think we have yet to see the best of us so far. Perhaps we don't have the strength in depth that we thought we had but we really aren't a poor team. Apart from last night of course which was total carp.
-
To be fair it worked brilliantly for about 20 minutes!
-
Fair question. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if he hadn't been injured. He really cant be any worse than Caulker and Yoshi though can he?
-
No but he was bought for cover as Targett had to step up.
-
Indeed. A shot might be goal bound but within easy reach of the keeper whereas it also could be goal bound but bound for the corner of the goal giving the keeper less chance.
-
I really struggle to see how he was expected to save any of those last night. Liverpool's finishing was deadly. In fact I can think of many goals he has let in all season where you can say he definitely should have saved that. Maybe the second last night that he did get something on but then he was still alone and left with a one on one and Sturridge nearly fluffed it.
-
Would we have brought in Caulker and Martina if Gardos and Bertrand hadn't been injured? As for Clasie, we have yet to see the best of him. I am sure he will come good.
-
Agree with that, especially Tadic I didn't think Stek had much chance with any of them to be fair. He was given no cover and how often does virtually every shot on target go in? Liverpool played well last night and strangely I think we would have given them a better game if they had played a full strength team. Koeman hasn't become a bad manager overnight and the team haven't become poor overnight but it is very clear, if it wasn't before, that we could do with a couple of players in January.
-
Absolutely. Hopefully her family can find some kind of closure now but the initial verdict was odd to say the least.
-
I am sure he is. He isn't the sort to take this with a pinch of salt but at the same time he doesn't lose it. We need him to have a cool head right now. He has a lot to sort out before the Villa game.
-
Tonight doesn't excuse how bad Yoshida has been for some time.
-
Why would they say anything? Up until City were we unbeaten on the road and until tonight things weren't going too badly.
-
Well at least I try to be optimistic and not see a negative in everything, but if that is a problem, sorry.
