  1. What I like about this squad is that it is just that - a squad. We have a lot of decent players and are not reliant on just one.
  2. I think Liverpool got Lambert on the cheap but would reserve "shameful" for what they paid for Lovren
  3. Real footage. At least 9 dead. Many survived though!

  5. I rarely beep a cyclist but some of them are all over the road and I will do so as a sign that are cycling dangerously. I appreciate that there are many cyclists who are responsible but there are also those who are a danger to themselves and to other road users. I have been verbally abused by cyclists when I have gone out of my way to make sure I give them plenty of room. Perhaps we should add "lycra rage" to road rage? I used to be a rep in London so spent most of my day on the roads. It scared me the number of cyclists who used to jump red lights.
  6. Is 3.5m euros for someone who is not an established 1st team player really "shameful" ???

  9. This is true. The middle and outside lanes are for overtaking. The speed limit for each lane is the same.
  10. Thanks for that. When I was a kid I was taught not to ride two abreast but appreciate that times change. As you know cyclists (and I do cycle) often wobble and when you get the second one wobbling as you overtake it can be very dangerous. I live in the country and the lanes are full of two abreast cyclists on the weekends. Getting past safely is a nightmare. I am not a boy racer and always look out for cyclists and bikers but some of them do stupid things and if you beep them you get all kinds of cr@p thrown back at you because you happen to be in a car. I don't want to be responsible for knocking anyone off their bikes but cyclists (and bikers) need to be more careful when on the roads. My brother was involved in a fatality with a biker driving into the back of him. It wasn't his fault and he was cleared of any blame but it will haunt him for the rest of his days. No one "owns" the roads but it makes sense if those more vulnerable to more care in what they do. I can tell you I have lost count of the number of cyclists who ignore road signs, especially red lights.
  11. If he hopes we will go back for him in the Summer probably wise not to throw accusations about insulting behaviour around then maybe?

  13. Let down because we wouldn't pay a higher price than we were prepared to pay? He has lost an opportunity to play in the Premier league and earn himself a fortune but if the club has made an offer and Feyenoord turned it down exactly whose fault is that?
  14. If the offer is not acceptable the club says no thank you and says what is acceptable . If the club making the offer does not increase the offer then there is no deal I assume. All the rest is just hot air.

Verona is lovely and well placed between Venice (which despite the hype is awesome) and Lake Garda. Florence is worth a visit as is Sienna. Not been to Naples/Pompeii yet next on my list. You will love it there.
  17. It was probably only a loan.

  22. Cyclists that ignore red lights. Cyclists that ride two abreast and get funny if you beep them. My main gripe is the same as Pap though and the lorry drivers who spend half an hour overtaking. Just make all the b@stards drive in the inside lane and be done with it!

  24. Apparently he phoned Tony Fernandes at 5.30am to tell him of his decision to quit. Clearly the knee was giving him jip all night! QPR fan on TalkSport called him the worst manager ever LOL.
  25. Bad tackle. There had been a bit of needle between the two of them earlier and you can see Bertrand looking at him and timing his challenge to take him out. Silly boy. Ron didn't look too pleased.
