Great deal for the club for a player who is just promising at this stage. If it means we keep MF too then it’s even better.
-
Still needs to make the tough but blindingly obvious choice and replace Quarshie with Wood. He’s nowhere near this level yet.
-
“The Wenger Boys” made me laugh every time without fail. Such top Saturday morning pre-match tv.
-
Fucking great to be back here.
-
Fair point, hard to see him fancying a stint in the championship though. You’d imagine better offers from his homeland, without the rainy evenings and kickings.
-
The salute…with Beattie?
-
Oh yes, the championship is way more forgiving.

Having had a nosey back at the OR thread from a few years ago, general consensus was that he was struggling with the pace of the game, getting around the pitch like he used to so a slower tempo in Spain and moving back to his home country suited all parties. Either way, I’d be gobsmacked if he came back.
-
He was in great shape yes, but he was allowed to move on because he clearly didn't have the legs for the PL any more....as far i can recall.
-
Corrected for you - assuming it's the Sam Smith i'm thinking of!
-
OR was an insane player for us in his day, but he left a few years ago and was clearly off the pace at that time - admittedly in the PL.....does he really have the legs to play/compete week in week out in the championship? I know he was at Barcelona etc etc etc, but the pace and style of play is totally different. Good back up, but really!?

I'm assuming the medical simply highlights any issues and the club can decide whether they want to take that risk or not. It seems we were happy to on that occasion!
-
We could alter the classic “team of Gary Breens” song for our Jack.
-
We should make them pay most upon sale and put in a whopper of a sell on clause too.
-
Fernandes is on a long deal, so we need to make sure we get top money for him. No one would begrudge him a move back to the PL or overseas, but equally we’re not a charity and it’s a business. He alone would be huge in getting us straight back up, and that’s where we need to see his value. Club need to demand top money for him or they can jog on. Hope we get to see him once more v Wrexham.

Bit surprised myself - i'll keep an eye on upcoming aways that child and i can do.
-
I thought Ipswich was 100% going to get to members.....? I'll keep an eye open for the next batch of fixtures mate, thanks for the heads up.
-
Cheers for input all, guess a few extra post-match beers for the road it is then!
-
Sadly he's not made the cut of desired signatures. Shock horror.
-
Good shout - do you know roughly how long after the game they tend leave?
-
Unrelated query - does anyone know what time the players generally arrive on 3pm matchdays? Daughter keen on getting a shirt signed, but i don't want to hang around for hours ideally! Guessing 1pm ish? Thanks for any input.
-
Didn’t they do this for a while? Sure I remember it being an option.
-
Honestly can’t remember as it depends on what’s happening any given weekend plus I know it’s a case of “day 1 - ST + 10 aways. Day 2 - ST + 9 aways” etc. As for this season, my daughter now has a ST with me at SMS for the first time, so it’s not going to be quite that simple….i’d want to take her with me ideally.
-
A harmonious home life doesn’t allow it sadly. If i was at football every weekend it wouldn’t end well!
-
I totally understand the argument, and commitment people make. Just think a ballot would be a great way to give all ST holders the chance to go. This system hasn’t been in place that many years has it? Can’t even remember.
