I'm not sure why a few are still talking about JWP as if he's 35-40 years old and whether he's still got it. He's 31. He stepped away from the penalty last weekend so clearly not wanting to (or interested in) upset the applecart, his deadball still looks excellent, and he's feeling his way back into a very different side. Genuinley can't see a downside to him starting or coming on when needed. I'll bet he's just delighted to be out on the pitch again and it's a massive bonus no doubt that it's in front of us lot singing his name.

Never played in England, and yet his conversational English is better than most uk native speakers. Comes across as an intelligent and well mannered young fellow. Good luck to him.

Absolutely. This signing would be nothing like those three especially Romeu and Lallana. He’s not old, he’s always been an impeccable pro’ (so we hear), never really had fitness issues (I know he’s a couple of years older)….but had a good engine, a good leader and we’d have another excellent dead ball / set piece specialist. If the figures work why not?!
