Clean sheet in the first half mainly due to France not getting a shot on target out of 5 attempts !

I've heard over the last few years about rubbish facilities for away teams , even at non league level where they have gone as far as having no hot water etc . Is this really likely to give an advantage to the home team or more a chance that the away team are motivated ??

That's the opposite to what I was going to post !! I see him getting involved , unselfish . not there just to score but create chances as well as help out when the team is under pressure . Don't think he's slow either , how much better would Saints be if we had Kane on the teamsheet ??

Good to see Kane at the back post for the corner , so many times you don’t see that in the prem. Bellingham looks really good , such ball control and vision .

I think it’s the FA , Prem etc who should be setting strict rules about players behaviour towards refs . Like rugby , the Man U v Fulham game was a typical disgrace , no ref should have to back peddle because the players are ‘in their face’ . It was both teams doing it as well . What’s the ref supposed to ? Grab them round the throat ?

You can just not sign players , no problem unless someone notices ! Then you might have to come out with a reason . Obviously it’s not a problem for top 4 with massive squads of top players that can rotate them in ramadan but little ole clubs like Saints can’t do that.

Probably better to be able to say “ why didn’t we keep him “ rather than “ why on earth did we give another contract “ I think , judging by recent experience 😀

Yes not much chance of abuse ending any time soon unless you live in a dictatorship . Twitter has already got worse since Musk took over and sacked loads of staff . It could be that being a bit different , or on the spectrum like us engineer types , means that was made him a fantastic footballer doing things that no one expected. Didn’t feel the need to run around in training or get on with fellow ‘nutters’ like Hoddle . Unlike Lineker he’s got nothing to lose apart from his reputation and it’s so long ago not that many are aware of that.
