Another disappointing Jan window for Saints ?

Maybe they were going with the Refs decision ie deflection on to hand therefore no pen , rather than was it going in the goal. VAR needs a review , not changes on the hoof. A few years ago a Uni did a study on fouls and concluded that if a player put his arms down to break his fall to the floor it was probably a foul BUT if they threw their arms up as they went down it probably wasn't. I think more studies should be done , look at Grealish when he hits the deck , both his legs are straight out behind him showing he has held his lead leg back or Salah who colapses like a sack of spuds at the slightest touch etc . Factor that into the VAR and decide on what and when it is used for.

I few years earlier we went on a school trip to WHL , arrived in coach park and watched Terry Paine and co get off their coach ! excitement , we lost 5-3 but were coming back strongly and if we had another 10 mins ..... stopped for cockles and other strange thinks on the way home !

No in previous matches , a bit of a generalisation I know but Bertie seems to be often up the pitch when a bit of defence is required. May be just my impression.

Where Stephens is being slagged off it is noticable that Bertie is nowhere to be seen in the left side defensive area at the time .
