The only chance we have is to find out where the Huddersfield players are staying overnight and make sure they don't get a good sleep. Seriously it's time to look forward to next season as Stockport are ****!

A typical Grimsby gloryhunter!

It could be for the damages they left us from the cup match? Stickers all over the concourses, seats and toilets, plus one of the toilets was set alight. Skate ****s.

Yes that Channon goal was special. He even scored it with his very weak left peg! I remember about 10 years after that happened it came on a sports channel, they showed the goal and I bursted out 'You won't see a better goal.......' About 5 seconds before the commentator said it and the 10 guys in the room looked at me as they was impressed with my knowledge.

That's good!!

Wilkins to Pardew 'Shall I get a gun and shoot the ****s.'

I love looking at other people's views on Saints and they are running a thread called DONT WORRY ABOUT THE SAINTS.... Some snippets then.....:-) partly because they're very unlikely to catch us up and partly because we'll finish 5th anyway, above Charlton. Charlton 3 points ahead, both of us have +20 goal difference. Charlton next 3 games- Exeter AWAY Leeds HOME Oldham AWAY none of them look easy to me, especially the first 2. Stockport- already relegated Colchester- could be out of it by then Exeter- could be safe by then This divisions always unpredictable but i reckon we'll get 3 more points from our 3 games than Charlton get from theirs. I would like to finish 5th, as that would mean the Saints 10 point deduction would be meaningless to us. But if Saints catch Charlton, we'll have plenty to worry about then, Captain. I've always said they won't get it, but to still be in with a chance when they were seconds away from being out of it is really frustrating. I'm unsure about Charlton, keep hearing how their fans think they're ****e, but they've got some decent results recently and look at todays stats against the champions, 68% possession and 16 shots to 3. Think we'll finish above them on GD though, or maybe even on goals scored. After looking at the fixtures for teams at the bottom I think Exeter will only need a point on the final day to secure survival, so won't have to go all out for the win. IF Saints make the play-offs... would YOU back against them winning it? erm.........no I don't want to believe it but I think Saints are well capable of winning there last 4 (have a look at them) which would put them on 78. They have a vastly superior goal difference so we need 5 points from 3 games to get to 79. Hope my maths is right. So, all sorts of permutations but 3 points on Stockport beach would be a hell of a start. Hope we don't face the relaxed, nothing to play for, can enjoy themselves Stockport or the playing for their contracts, playing for pride Stockport with the capable of chucking it Huddersfield. The Huddersfield of last night will do it though. Bye, bye fingernails Southampton have a side which is far too good for this division. Would probably challenge the Championship play off places under the correct management. God knows how god they'll be after they've strenghened further in the summer. Also on that note, Brighton are set to spend big this summer. Poyet is looking to offload a lot of the squad and replace them with 8 or 9 championship quality players. Sounds a bit like us over the last couple of seasons really This division isn't getting any easier, is it? Nor will it. Missing out this year doesn't mean we will be any closer next year, even if we strengthen. I reckon we've gotta hope we can take our chance this time around. Let's just pray Southampton don't get themselves into the mix! I want the season to race to an end, then I can stop worrying about Southampton. That blooming Barnard goal was a stinker. Is there any play off stone that we have left unturned? yes. We win up taking us to 83 points. Leeds Swindon Millwall and Charlton all carry on imploding under the pressure, just taking the odd draw or two from their final 3 games. Town finish 2nd We dont need to worry one bit about the saints lads cos if we arent good enough to get 5pts from a team cut adrift at the bottom, one on the edge of the relegation zone and a home game against a rival with a record of one loss in 22 at home then quite frankly we dont deserve to be there. As fans however, we have to replicate the sensational and positive atmosphere created last night at edgley park next weekend and then the final 2 games - if we do i have a sneaky feeling we will be very happy next sat eve!! personally i think we will win out. The only game for comcern for me would be having to get a result V Exeter, as i think they will need to win that game to stay up. Having seen Sotons remaining fixtures, its a distinct possibility they could win out as well, they do have to go to Gillingham, a possible stumbling block. I've said this on another thread - agree completely that beating Stockport puts Col U out of the running, so they'll have nothing to play for when they come to the Galph. Win that and we don't have to worry about the saints. Though as someone said, if they make the play offs you wouldn't bet against them So you think Paul Tisdale is going to lie down and let us get a point when he has family living in Southampton plus he is an ex player for them and a great friend of Pardew. Don't kid yourself but I don't want to play Saints anymore this season as they are on current form better than anyone in this league. Let's go all out at Stockport and get our three points against Colchester. Let's hope we win the playoffs as this league next year is going to be bloody hard with only one auto place up for grabs once those money spending southern ****s win the league. 'd like to think Town are more determined to get into the play offs, than Exeter are to do their gaffer's family a favour. I agree with Shawsie, if we can only muster 4 points out of these 3 games we don't deserve to be called one of the top 6 teams in this league, but I don't think that'll be the case and will be surprised if we end up with less than 7.

Everytime Dryden was playing I feared the worse. Players I never warmed too was Speedie, Groves, Martin Foyle and finally the worse guy of the lot David Puckett......!!
-
Maybe it's best we don't make it as half of you won't make it? As for me, NOTHING stops me!

We know he does not do sex scandals like Tiger & he owns a Technika digital camera as shown at the JPT final.

Should they be paying us?!?!

I love seeing what others are saying about Saints so I went on the DATM website and pasted some comments on the 'Southampton will get 6th place thread' Only a few points behind now with a game in hand and they're on fire. Hope I'm wrong but after Tuesdays and Today's performances I can't see us making the play offs. No chance... why no chance? 5 points behind with 5 to play with a superior goal differenc. They win the majority of their games. If they get in the play offs they'll win the playoffs also. Considering they have to play Bristol away and Gillingham away i can't see them getting maximum points. I'd say we need 3 wins to stop them from overtaking us but i feel that they will help us by dropping points. Southampton aren't as good as people on here seem to think they are. They won't catch us. They've got a chance, but I can't see them winning every game. If we do our job properly and win 3 of our last 5 then they shouldn't finish above us. If they win all 5 and people slip up it is possible, Id give em about a 25 % chance..... I reckon they will do it and then **** the play offs: I can see us beating Walsall, losing to Millwall, winning at Stockport, drawing against Colchester and losing at Exeter - 75 points Can see Colchester losing to Charlton, drawing at Hartlepool, beating Tranmere, drawing against us and beating Leyton Orient - 76 points And i can see Southampton winning all their games - 78 points Listen! On the park yesterday was a very ordinary league 1 side getting thumped by a poor league 1 side. Town WILL be in league 1 next season....the place we deserve to be. This team cannot nor will not gain promotion and anyone with any REAL football knowledge would accept that. I went to Brentford and, frankly, came away quite embarrassed! 8 points with a game in hand.... they have yet to play that game and might not win it. I'd rather have the points on the board than a game in hand. I would bet that they at most draw in 1 or 2 of their games. We all expected Swindon to beat Colchester but it didn't happen so why can't anyone beat Southampton despite what people expect? Because DATM ♥ Southampton, no matter how many times they have inconsistent results, because they thrashed us it means they're about to go on a 6 match winning run, something they've not done for years. Didn't they draw at Brighton recently? The same as caused suicide on here when we did. They also lost at Tranmere recently who we'd previously beaten a couple of weeks earlier. Southampton's away form is poor so they will not win all their remaining games. I'm in agreement with Hugh, but its all getting a little bit too close! It will all go down to Exeter - you didn't seriously think we would be clear in the play offs before then did you?!?! they are getting a bit closer than I would like, but we need to win our games anyway as otherwise Colchester will overtake us, so why worry about Southampton? they have some good players but Pardew isnt the best manager. Don't worry about the results of Southampton or colchester, we currently lie in the playoffs with 5 games to play so if ultimately we fail to reach the top 6 we will only have ourselves to blame and no one else. 4 points this week and I think we'll do it owt less and it'll be touch and go. Cue us needing to go to Exeter and win, ballsing it up with frustrated town fans knocking f**k out of each other a la fulham in 99/00. Agreed. They have gained on TWO points on us all season.
-
I've just had a study of the Huddersfield results since we beat them and they really are not playing very well at all. Since we hammered them they have won 3 out of 7. The victories have been against Orient who sacked the manager as they hit rock bottom, and they beat Oldham who ****ed all over them. They lost 3-0 against Brentford yesterday who have nothing to play for. Don't think Huddersfield will win 50% of there remaining games as the team is struggling. Now people are ruling out Colchester's chances but beating Swindon 3-0 yesterday could kick start them IF they get anything out of Charlton who will need 3 points badly.

I'm not sure why you are going to this friendly as you and Stu put it. Have you more faith In Saints all of a sudden?
-
Have we finally lost the chip on our shoulder?
Pilchards replied to wimbornesaint's topic in The Saints
Does he like Saints too? ;-) Seriously though, proposing to you lady because you have the footy feel good factor will not make her supa special... Delay it until the summer and take the lady somewhere special and propose as she will be well made up. -
Although I think you are a gobby **** Stu, keep up the good work to find out the answers.

Poor thing.... ;-)

I think sometimes you need to draw the line at what merrit's a one minute silence. The fireman are on the borderline IMHO, however when Spurs held a one minute silence for the death of Hoddle's father then it becomes a joke.

Blimey bear's in the garden and you can take someone called Jenga from behind at the bar! Is this a Carlsberg special?
-
The only banner I would think that could make us laugh is... 'Caravan's keep to the left'
-
I think they done wonders getting to wembley in the first place. I certainly won't take the **** out of a fan about how many people are going as he will remind me who they beat to get there.
-
No problem at all, just a good talking point that's all. I do recall watching a programme once which did the special freeze evidence as they do so yes, Hurst's shot was decided whether it was over or not!
-
I was talking to my 11 year old at the Orient game and we got talking about the most important goal we have scored, he said it was someone called Bobby Stokes but his teacher told him it was offside. Has it ever been proved that Bobby was offside or not? Enjoy this which I have never seen before.
