The Chinese gentleman probably knows nobody involved in football outside of the Southampton setup and would struggle to make decisions unless he employed an independent director to start sorting out the mess.
-
Found it mental we wasted our own time bringing him on and the officials blew the whistle 25 seconds early.

Nothing out there at the moment so let’s tag along as it is. In the next month start tapping up managers through agents to see if they are interested in the Saints job which comes with your own coaching team plus 50m in the transfer kitty. Reckon that would tempt Brendon Rodgers for starters.

Can see us dropping 3 points from that lot BTW did you know we always play crap in the Dec/Jan months which is another worrying factor.

I think we were a touch unlucky today. If the Burnley keeper was not so brilliant it could of been a different story plus If you could swap a decent striker for Long and Austin then we might have an option off the bench. How the hell can Long be so ****e when he had a chance at goal but panicked and got tackled. Need Tadic out with Soares and a couple of decent strikers plus swap meat head Forster then I think we might be okay?

Put your lovely thoughts in here.

Yes exactly that I keep living in hope that we will turn it on soon in front of my own eyes.

After reading this I’m shocked. First up it tells the opposition our setup and plus we will continue to play boring football. Gone are the days that we will win by two clear goals.

ORIOL Romeu admits Saints would “all love to be more creative” and it would make an “amazing difference” if they were – but it’s not that simple. The 26-year-old believes Mauricio Pellegrino's side fear being punished on the counterattack if they commit too much going forward. Romeu speculates that this is why Saints have struggled to win convincingly and not capitalised after taking the lead this term. “We’d love to all be more creative and make a difference in the last third, but that’s difficult,” said the Spanish midfielder. “That’s the most difficult part in football and that will make an amazing difference. “But we need to be quicker with the ball, make them (opponents) run and pull them out of place. That will give us a bigger chance to get to the box and get more chances.” The former Chelsea man believes that Saints are still to find that balance between being “creative and offensive and not being punished by the counterattack”. “Whenever we play against these teams we know how good they are defensively,” he said ahead of this Saturday’s game against high-flying Burnley at St Mary's. “Everyone is proving very hard to be beaten or to take them out of place. We need to do better with the ball. “They (opponents) are clever, they are ready to run and recover and go for the counterattack and that’s hard because if you try and attack too much you can get killed by a counterattack. “We need to find that balance between being creative and offensive and not being punished by a counterattack.” Romeu has often spoken to manager Mauricio Pellegrino who is “always telling me” that it is important Saints mark attackers even when the team are going forward. “He’s always telling me when we’re attacking we need to be closer to their strikers because if we lose the ball and they’re free it’s easier for them to be free and run and get that counterattack,” he said. “While we’re attacking we have to defend and allow our attacking players to create problems but we defensively have to be ready for the counter.” But Romeu agrees that Saints need to gamble more when going forward to help them score more often. “Yes, to break the lines without a doubt you have to play forward and that’s the one of the things we need to get,” he said. “Against Brighton we couldn’t break the lines, but we need to make sure our defensive parts are strong and from there we need to build the momentum and get those players up front. “We need to feed them more balls and give them better chances.” Saints also need to learn that scoring one goal is often not enough to win games, as they discovered to their cost in the 1-1 draw at Brighton last weekend. “We thought one goal was enough but that’s not what you have to do,” he said. “We score one but we have to go for the second and keep going. “Even if we lose we have to keep going for the same and the style of play must always be the same.”

So does our first team but they still can’t bloody hit it.
-
That’s why 90% of the under 20’s and 17’s that won the World Cup will never play for the senior England team. Money change people just like it’s done to Shaw.
-
What is it with Everton approaching other teams for managers?
-
Probably will happen but you would expect it’s going to be on the last few days of the transfer window which ****es me off. Then it takes them a further 3 weeks to bed them before they start producing. Wish Les could wrap a deal up come the first week so we get our first choice.

Remember the Sims break away against Liverpool in the semi final? My fears are the players are being stopped from breaking out in numbers and attacking with speed. I get the impression Pellegrino is saying hold the ball up and that way the other team can’t hurt us.
-
Problem is we have nobody else. All keepers are crap at the club because the keeping coach is destroying them.
-
He is utter ****. It’s the hope that kills me as I keep thinking we will go on and score another goal to put the game to bed. Boring, predictable and **** up.
-
I disagree with this. Mcqueen, Taggart and Jack Stephens are certainly good enough to step in any of our best teams if they suited a system and had a manager believing in them.
-
Makes me laugh that Puel was told to change our style of football on the pitch otherwise he would be sacked. That, he refused so what do we do next? Employ another boring****er.
-
We can all see that but the coaching staff can’t.
-
I think it’s time to get McQueen in the team with 3 centre backs. Offers more energy than Bertrand. As for the Barca player, I don’t think he is too keen as he probably does not want to be playing boring football under our current manager.
-
I’m good at these predictions. We will start well and go a goal up in the first 18 minutes. WBA will score on the 60 minute mark which will leave Austin coming off the bench to power a header in the 83rd minute from a gorgeous cross from Boufal.
-
Think I got that spot on
-
IMHO The current league program is much easier than its ever been. If we had a half decent manager then I would be confident in getting results at Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and Spurs these days. At the moment we can’t even beat the likes of Stoke, Newcastle and Huddersfield which tells me something is not right.
-
I can’t remember the last time we approached another club to take their manager so that suggest it’s not an option. So who is out there if we were to replace Pellegrino? Big Sam? Frank De Boer? Someone unemployed because nobody else wants them? Not too promising if we are calling for someone’s head is it?
-
Tough games coming up and we won’t suddenly get better as the team is ****e. Problem is I don’t trust Reed to do the right thing in getting someone else in? We don’t poach other team managers and we hire ones that are unemployed. The reason why nobody employs them is because they are crap.
