  1. I've had enough of Armstrong already, it's like we've got 10 men with him on the pitch.
  2. That's the main reason why Dibling needs more time before he goes to a bigger club. His final action/decision making is still lacking, which is understandable.
  3. Certainly an odd one as it's pretty obvious that Armstrong is not a centre forward.
  4. Can only assume Archer has a knock??
  5. Work permit hasn't come through yet so Rusk still in charge
  6. Teams have finally worked out that if you attack City, they are crap defensively. Especially without a natural DM.
  7. I think most of us predicted Russball wouldn't work in the Premier League but it would've been fair for the board to give him 10 games after he ultimately got us up (just about). At that point we had 1 point I believe - had to go then.

    Ivan Juric

Well, some of the Saints Web Martin lovers claim we are meeting expectations.

"I see a team that can do better" Can't we all mate.

I guess but we didn't have a choice really, and he did have one session with the players - someone had to be in charge. If Rusk has prepared the game plan etc it would be odd to stick Juric in charge.

Yep, to be announced this evening according to Adam Blackmore. He also says they're hoping Juric will be in the dugout tomorrow. Not sure about that given he wouldn't have even had a training session?

I'm hoping Archer will flourish, hell no doubt see more of the ball with it being played forward quicker and hopefully into the channels to stretch opposition defenses a bit. Something we haven't seen in years. Hopefully he tells Downes to protect the back four, not go marauding forward to try and win the ball like he has been, especially against Spurs. The players in front of him can be a bit more aggressive. The defence can concentrate on actually defending rather than worry about having to try and pass the ball between themselves for most of the game.
  13. Agreed. The best thing we can do as a fan base is accept we are going to get relegated. Pressure off and hopefully we can enjoy a few more wins and better performances between now and the end of the season. It's a real shame but that's on SR for total mismanagement yet again.
  14. Tbh if KWP is going to play like he did against Spurs we are better off without him from now on.

I would assume the opposite with SR.

So Rasmus Ankersen reads all the fan reactions on Twitter. Let's get #RasmusOut trending asap!
  17. I'm glad that Juric sounds like a hard taskmaster. The players need a few home truths I feel.
  18. Tbf I do agree with you. If he's crap and we don't improve then he's gone at the end of the season and we can appoint a long term manager to get us back up. If he does improve us and we still go down then he may be worth a shot in the championship.
  19. Maybe doing him a bit of an injustice but doesn't feel that inspiring really. Seems like it might be a 6 month contract.
  20. Exclusive confirmed - Ivan Juric will be the new manager of #Southampton 🛫 Today he will be in England. The former #Roma coach will sign a six-month contract with an option. He is now ready to travel to UK #SaintsFC From an Italian Journalist.
  21. https://x.com/DiMarzio/status/1870007292231336426?t=DJXR_vu4ZLS90c2WR1ZZiA&s=19 Uh oh... Ivan Juric is now the leading candidate and talks are ongoing. His managerial record is poor, at best.
  22. One of my favourite away games that one.
  23. A lot of people think Moyes is unrealistic, but if he wants to get back into management asap then I don't see there being many jobs up for grabs given Leicester and Wolves have already changed their managers. Palace are now picking up as expected and Ipswich wouldn't sack McKenna.
  24. Indeed. TAA, Kelleher, Nunez, Gakpo, Elliott, Gomez, Macallister, Jota. All are/have been regular first team players. It clearly wasn't their strongest line up but the side they put out was still very good.
  25. First half was way too passive but that was understandable. Second half was much better and there's signs of life in this side (with the right managerial appointment)
