Azaz would be good and probably getable.
-
Maybe a bit worrying but it's fallen off a cliff since he was originally linked with us in January and he had that falling out with their chairman. Since then the players and staff aren't even sure they are going to get paid. Probably best to judge him on his time there overall, not just the last few months.
-
Yeah I see people are trying to make excuses but it was a shocking miss. Happens to the best though. Dibling does lack composure but I guess he's only young. KWP's was pretty bad too although he's not a forward so a bit more understandable.
-
I would say impossible given our record at Goodison but Nathan Jones managed to get a win there so anything could happen!
-
No but i do think it's important that we end the season with a few positive results. Having said that the last 3 games look like write offs to me. Would absolutely love it if we did manage to ruin the Goodison farewell party though.

For a change I agree with you! No way would we go back to Ralph and nor should we. He probably wouldn't even entertain the idea anyway. As much as he did an ok job overall he clearly lost the players by the time he was sacked (I know a lot of the team will be different now) but how about we look forward..

No one can have a bad word to say about KWP. As far as I've seen he's given 100% every time he's been on the pitch, even since he knew he wasn't going to renew (probably 2 years at least). He's a mid table premier league player and deserves to be playing in the top league. Didn't push for a move when we got relegated and helped get us back up. Best of luck to him.

Tbh given we were the away side I think we had the better chances and actually edged it.
-
The players seem to be behind Rusk, certainly more than Juric. Ok we lost 3-0 last week to a very good side but at least the team had a plan and today they seemed up for it. Sad but small gains and all that.
-
Manning is atrocious
-
Agreed. We always look so much worse with a midfielder up front. I wonder why...?
-
No idea why we didn't just give the gig to Rusk back in December. We'll never score many goals but we look a lot more organised.
-
On the bench because he's been largely dreadful for them, along with Armstrong at WBA...
-
I'm not surprised tbh. He's a decent EFL manager. Just not quite as good as he thinks he is.
-
The majority of Sheffield Wednesday fans think he is a really good manager however his recruitment has been poor (presume he has a very big say). Not great to hear given our issues in that department. Having said that, with a new set up in place how much of a say will the new manager have? I know a lot of people think managers should pick the signings however it back fired when Martin was effectively in charge of it last summer.
-
Yeah no problem with him doing it temporarily but he doesn't have the credentials to take it on next season.
-
Very much doubt Wagner is in contention. Failed at Norwich playing a dull defensive style of football. Reportedly the opposite of the type of manager we are after.
-
Yeah he got the slightest touch on the ball but was quite high with the follow through. Wouldn't say it's a poor decision, just debatable.
-
Yep. KWP is leaving, THB is almost guaranteed to have Premier League teams after him purely because he played for England. Ramsdale, Fernandes, Dibling will all have offers from the Premier League too. Bednarek will have offers from abroad, as will Sulemena. Onuachu will go to Turkey etc etc.
-
Having watched match of the day back the lack of intensity in midfield is our main downfall. We know the CB's are crap but we don't do enough to protect them. Ugochuckwu and then Smallbone when he came on are so lethargic. Fernandes should be playing further forward but we've got no one else to go in CM. It's an area (along with many others) that needs a huge overhaul next season.
-
I wouldn't be against keeping him if he's played off the right. However would you see the club selling him if we go up and he's had a decent season. Because that's what we'd need to do. Not sure we are ruthless enough these days.
-
3 different managers this season, all with different styles and the results are the same. Ok if we'd have gone for it we might've nicked a goal but either way the end result is the same. These players are the common denominator.
-
Villa are a very good side, probably would've turned us over 5-0 if we'd left them more space. Lets be honest, Rusk is on a hiding to nothing here.
-
Didn't they make 8 changes against Forest last weekend yet still beat them fairly comfortably? I guess a 2-0 loss is better than 5-0...
-
I believe Beattie will actually be at Saints next season. In what role I'm not sure.
