  1. His distribution is better than McCarthy's (hard not to be) but I agree it isn't great.
  2. I'd be over the moon with OGS at the minute.
  3. We did play some decent stuff against the poorer sides in the division (as you'd expect us to) but against some of the better sides we looked like we do in pretty much every game this season - awful. The Sunderland, Leicester thrashings coupled with two defeats to Ipswich, a pathetic away showing at Bristol City, another terrible one at home to Hull. There's probably more. How we have started this season is no surprise what so ever.
  4. Exactly. I said on another thread the other day that it's different from when we sacked Ralph - although things were heading in the wrong direction we were still outside the bottom 3. This time around we are rock bottom of the league having made the worst start in our history. It can't get any worse.
  5. Tbf they planned to hire Nathan Jones. Obviously not the case with Selles.
  6. 🚨⚪️ Postecoglou: “Inconsistency this season is down to me. That's my responsibility”. “The inconsistency we're having this year, ultimately it comes down to me and my approach”. “It’s something I need to try and fix and see if I can help the players in that area”. That's what Ange Postecoglou said after their loss today. Shows strong leadership and awareness that he may have to adapt as a manager. The total opposite of RM.
  7. It was easy for the fans to voice their displeasure over Jones because some of the stuff he was coming out with in the media. Russell talks just as much shit but gets away with it as people think he's a "nice guy" when to me he actually seems very arrogant. I guess having a promotion under your belt helps too but that doesn't wash with me (we were very lucky to go up IMO). No doubt SR would've stuck with Jones for longer if the fans hadn't have turned. Sadly I just can't see this happening to Martin. As you say, a fair few still clap the bloke at the end of games as if he's the messiah.
  8. I don't trust them either, doesn't mean I back Martin. I'd have anyone in charge over him at the moment.
  9. To be honest nothing will happen until the fans voice their displeasure inside the ground at least. All I ever see is idiots applauding the team off when we've just lost yet another game.
  10. Of course they are his signings.
  11. You'll be disappointed if you're waiting for that.
  12. Yep. No point in having a great striker if they never see the ball.
  13. Also funny how Dibling is the only player who really tries to take the opposition on and he's been quickly dropped in favour of AA who who couldn't beat a snail.
  14. Christ Martin said after the game that we've missed Ryan Fraser. Just as I thought this bloke couldn't get even more ridiculous.
  15. I certainly wouldn't begrudge anyone having a moan watching this anti football.
  16. It really is such a shame we find ourselves in this position after the scenes in the play offs and that great day at Wembley. To go up and play this badly is tough to take.
  17. Can't wait for the rest of the season with Martin in charge.
  18. I think they include blocked shots as part of the total shots.
  19. ......
  20. Nail on head really. There is absolutely no footballing experience above Martin.
  21. I've never been a fan of playing a big guy upfront and just trying to put crosses in but you're right, we'd certainly create more than we do now. In fact you can play direct football without the need for a big guy upfront. Brentford are banging in the goals playing fast direct football with 5 ft 9 Yoanne Wissa up top.
  22. IIRC we then went away to Man City and narrowly lost. The team and manager were applauded off after a really resolute display.
  23. I was about to post the same regarding Ralph. Also there's backing a manager during a poor spell and then there's this. Losing 9 of your first 11 games (worst start in our history) and failing to produce shots on target in multiple games is horrible and there are absolutely no signs of anything changing.
  24. The Nathan Jones that went on to manage Real Madrid. Oh sorry it was Charlton wasn't it. Almost as if that is his level. No one can defend that appointment.
  25. In most seasons we'd be a good as down by now. There are some pretty poor teams in the league this season. Just so happens we are the worst but as you say, as unlikely as it is, there is still a chance (if we sack Martin)
