  1. Good team apart from Manning.
  2. I actually think our best 11 is relatively easy to name now, bar possibly full back and one of the wide positions. Let's hope RM can start finding some consistency in his selections.
  3. I do have this nagging feeling that the club will stick with Martin no matter what this season.
  4. It's crazy. As much as I'm not sure Martin can turn it around, I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.
  5. He's clearly a very good man manager. Doesn't make him tactically good enough though.
  6. The fact is those losses showed that our style of play can be very easy to play against if you've got half decent players and manager.
  7. Surely it can't be any worse than the last time a Steve Cooper side came to St Marys, can it??
  8. Much nicer than the current home kit. What a shambles.
  9. Yep. Wood & Edwards can't even make a match day squad and BBD is absolutely woeful. That's the best part of £15m wasted on 3 players who will barely contribute this season. That could've gone towards a proper striker.
  10. Brought in to play his style yet constantly aren't good enough at it? Let's be honest, changing our style a bit could only improve us as we can't get any worse.
  11. "noise" seems to be the in-thing at the moment. Isn't this what Martin bangs on about as well. How he "doesn't listen to it or let it affect him" despite clearly getting upset about it.
  12. 100% this.
  13. Looks to me that a little through ball over the top into the channel for Archer to run onto is on. Downes is very accustomed to the Martin style of play. I do like how Fernandes has come in and looked to play the ball forwards as much as possible. That ball into Archer for the goal is what we should be doing more of. Slightly more direct.
  14. Not sure where the notion comes from that he can't play with his feet. Looked like he played some neat passes yesterday after good hold up play
  15. You'd like to think the club are ahead of the game and have realistic targets should they get rid of him...
  16. No chance he can continue if we lose to Leicester.
  17. Let's be honest, if we lose to Leicester (which is likely) then the reaction from the fans will probably get him the sack. Well I hope so, anyway.
  18. He's certainly more of a handful that Stewart who despite costing less, was possibly an even worse signing than Onuachu.
  19. Ramsdale; KWP, Bednarek, THB, Taylor; Downes, Aribo, Fernandes, Dibling; Archer, Onuachu. Could that work? Appreciate a lack of width down the left.
  20. Agreed. The thing that's worked in his favour is that in the lower league his sides have been able to score as well to even it up. Now we are up against much better opposition we can't even do that but are still letting in a ridiculous amount of goals. How anyone thinks Martin will be a success with us in this division I'll never know.
  21. Ramsdale, Sugawara, Bednarek, THB, Taylor, Downes, Fernandes, Lallana, KWP, Dibling, Archer. Our wide options seem pretty pathetic so why not stick KWP out there.
  22. Or even worse he pulls his investment!
  23. Watching the game tonight I'll be shocked if it's less than 6. Arsenal mastering the high press and scoring set piece goals for fun.
  24. Exactly. One of the most tinpot reasons not to sack a manager I've ever heard.
  25. THB is our joint top scorer with two headers from set pieces. The fact this is looking like the only way we are going to score speaks volumes. We need to go back to basics and play to the players strengths. Not shoehorning a philosophy onto them when only a few of them are good enough to play it. Obviously won't happen with Martin in charge as he's already told everyone plenty of times.
