Having said that they've just capitulated in this second half...
-
And whose fault is it that we can't score the few chances we are creating? The club have known for 4-5 years that we need a decent striker yet we still don't have one.
-
Wolves are another team tipped to be down there this season that look a lot better than us.
-
A lot of people say he comes across as a nice guy but I think the opposite. Can't stand him at times myself. If anyone dares to question anything about him or the team he gets incredibly rude and defensive.
-
I think it's inevitable we are going to leak goals with RM in charge (his defensive record at every club is horrendous) but it isn't helped by playing players who have shown in the past they are not good enough to play in this league. Added with the fact we've yet again failed to bring in a proper striker, it's going to be a long painful season.

Official: Jan Bednarek signs new contract until 2027

Tbh he's been largely decent since coming back from that failed loan spell at Villa and is clearly respected by the other players. Pleased about this news. -
The biggest problem with this is that we are very unlikely to stay up this season playing the way we do.
-
I've seen people leaving Sugawara out which is madness imo. Was our best player against Newcastle and arguably our best player against Brentford.
-
Couldn't agree more.
-
We got away with it last year because our players were better than most other teams players. Sadly we don't have that luxury this season and every team knows exactly how we are going to play before we even get out there. Man City have the players to pull it off - we don't and RM needs to accept that (he won't because he's deluded)
-
He's clearly a good man manager and more than likely a good coach. Totally agree with the comments above though. We play high risk football around our own box but then decide to play low risk football on the rare occasions we manage to get towards the oppositions 18 yard box. Although I do believe the latter is potentially down to lack of quality in the final third. Lallana, Dibling and Fernandes all seem to be showing signs of positive improvement in that regard. We know Martin will not change his style. Hopefully he can tweak it enough so it gives us a chance of staying up because if he does nothing, we will be down this side of the new year.
-
Yeah, I'm just not convinced he's going to play another game for us. RM keeps feeding us bullshit about how he's going to be back soon but there's been nothing to back that up.
-
Isn't it something to do with Leicester not being in the PL for one of the 3 previous years? We should've spent more money then!!
-
No point in following the rules, is there?
-
Did this one fall through as well?
-
Yep being direct doesn't mean you have to have a huge guy upfront. Ok the attackers need to be relatively decent at hold up play - Brentford are a pretty direct side but they play it into attacking areas along the ground and get runners off the attacker with the ball.
-
Cornet and Archer are the ideal players to play in behind and stretch the opposition. Won't happen with RM in charge. Look at Brentford yesterday. They have 3 quick players up top and get the ball to them as quickly as possible with runners supporting them from midfield to pick up any loose balls.
-
Yeah but Stephens has been much better than THB and is a strong leader so deserves to play...🙄
-
We will concede goals and lose matches regardless, as seen at Newcastle, Forest and the first half today. At least 4 atb gives us more hope of scoring goals.
-
Let's hope we make him feel loved and offer him a bumper deal because if we lose him with a year left or even on a free then it'll be a big f*ck up by the club.
-
Think he would've finished that chance AA messed up though
-
I don't think either should be playing. Should be ABK and Bednarek.
-
Isn't that Martins own fault for playing Stephens in this stupid position where by he just gets in the way?
-
Yes and the noises coming from the club over the summer were that he won't be sacked regardless of performance this season - even if we go down. Tbf if we went down fighting and took it to the last game or so whilst playing decent football and actually competing in matches I don't think many people would be too critical. But the way things are going, we could be down quicker than 2 years ago and that was a complete shambles.

Yes, edited.
