Apparently Diallo isn't being loaned to the Championship. Gone very quiet on Brooks. Maybe Bournemouth want to keep him.
-
We have the same stadium as Leicester and they have their away fans exactly where we should.

Phil Parsons: “The feedback to St Mary’s changes has been mixed but I’ve learned you’ll never please everyone in this job. By doing this, we can reopen a lot of the seats we have had to shut. I think this is the right thing for the club.” Phil Parsons: “Russell Martin and others have told me a few times about how loud the away fans are. We are looking at a space where the away fans don’t get an advantage over our team.”
-
Exactly. The people who sit next to the away fans in the Northam/Itchen can't actually hear that the away fans are so much noisier than they are and claim there is nothing wrong with the atmosphere as it is. The club clearly knows the atmosphere is shite otherwise they wouldn't have bothered. I support this even if it's just to get the away fans into a corner/side.

Squad if we sign another attacker and no one else left - Bazunu, Lumley, McCarthy. KWP, Bree. Manning, Meghoma. THB, Bednarek, Stephens, Holgate. Downes, Charles, Smallbone, S.Armstrong, Alcaraz, Rothwell, Aribo. Fraser, Edozie, Sulemena, Benson, A.Armstrong, Adams, Mara. That's 25 players. Plus promising youngsters SAA and Dibling. At least 2 players per position. I've discounted Larios and Stewart because it's unlikely they are going to play again this season. If we do sign Benson that'll be 6 loanees and we are only allowed 5 in a match day squad. Would we leave one out each week or look to terminate one of them?
-
We don't even have a left footed attacker in the squad (bar SAA who is good prospect but clearly not there yet) so surely he'd be a good alternative?
-
Probably. It doesn't seem to apply for the big 6 clubs.
-
I would be very surprised if we let him go in January with so much at stake. He'll leave in the summer IMO.
-
Could be. Sounds like we were interested previously and apparently he's available for 6-8 million.
-
Maybe they have a potential replacement lined up who costs around that figure?
-
Isn't that what you'd want as the home side though?
-
I hope a lot of the fans share the same attitude as you. I'm sceptical though from what I've seen so far (albeit a small sample).
-
Coaches possibly? Easiest thing for them to do would be for the away coaches to park on the industrial estate behind the chapel, then it'd be easy access to where the family stand currently is.
-
Police would never agree to that unfortunately.
-
The atmosphere in the Northam has been crap for a long time now. Even this season it's poor considering the position we are in.
-
It's measured on a 3 year basis, right? If we don't go up this season and our better players leave, we won't be able to spend much next year either. Imperative we go back up at the first time of asking. Edit - don't worry, just seen Sheaf Saints post.
-
He does sound a bit like Stu Armstrong.
-
My wife asked me to try and recreate this earlier. I must admit it was a bit underwhelming compared to our Joe. Emphasis on the "try". She already knew.
-
We didn't deal with it well at the start of the season (Leicester, Ipswich etc) but we've made tweaks since then and the players are more used to the style. As we saw yesterday - Wednesday tried to press and we just played it around them.
-
2-1 away win. Same team with Rothwell added to the bench.
-
It's all ifs and buts isn't it. Clearly it's unlikely but IF they lose to Ipswich, which is possible, and we beat them at the King Power then it's potentially 4 points. The problem will be our inability to keep hold of leads away from home.
-
Yep, THB is very good at that little ball dinked in behind as seen from goals against Plymouth and Walsall.
-
It's the other way round. We are the second worst in the league!
