Bloke has hell of a left foot on him

Every time I've seen Orsic play he looks class. 30 years old but exactly what we need in this situation. Experience of playing in the Champions League and on the international stage. Would be great if we could get that over the line.

Well yeah he is crap. Obviously JWP is not a defensive midfielder but is better slightly more advanced. So there clearly is a difference between the roles.

Not only that but we needed another CDM anyway. Diallo doesn't count because he is more of an 8.

If we are going to go down the long ball route to keep us up then so be it. But we don't have the players for it ffs. You've got to adapt your game to suit what you've got at your disposal. It begs the question. Why was Jones brought in when the transfer policy differs to that of the managers style?

To be fair he does give 100% every time he plays. Clearly lacks any real quality but seems to keep the ball better than AMN or Diallo.

Can't believe I'm saying this but actually thought Elyounoussi had a decent game in CM today. Aribo was horrendous. Genuinely shocking. Shame we couldn't hold on because it was an improved performance. Huge game on Wednesday.

Finnigan is a CDM and has been training with the first team for the last 6 weeks or so. Supposed to be quite highly rated. Might as well give him a go.

I am certainly not an advocate of trying to play CB's in CDM but it's got so bad I wouldn't actually mind giving Lyanco a go in there. At least he has a bit of mobility and is decent enough on the ball. Only if there's two ahead of him though, it would be a disaster in a 4-4-2 for example.

He was terrible off the ball against Brighton. He had no idea whether to press or stand off. When he did press it was totally half arsed. Whether that was down to him or the managers instructions who knows. Either way he just sums us up as a club at the moment.

WTF a new centre back is the least of our worries. As for re-calling Bednarek, please god no.

Pretty sure he's been one of their best players this season. He would walk into our team, even at 34. There is no doubt about it.

His confidence is totally shot. He has potential but will make mistakes due to his experience. We can't afford that though. Sadly our other options are probably just as bad. What a shit show it's become. No adequate striker, keeper or CDM. What chance have we got?

JWP must be one of the most overrated players I've seen. He's not even a good captain.

I think it's time Armstrong was benched. It's true we don't really have a proper alternative but Mara clearly has some technical ability, although he can't hold the ball up and doesn't do a great deal of work off it. Having said that, those are two of Che's main attributes so if they played up top together it may not matter as much.

For me a DM has to be a priority along with a striker.

I've noticed that KWP actually looks more threatening in a back 4.

The fact that we immediately looked better with Walcott in his position speaks volumes and with that being the case, Adam Armstrong should retire right now.

Glad he bagged a couple tonight but he just had to get his usual cock up infront of goal in at the end! His hold up play was first class yet again though.
