Whilst we are looking pretty solid at the back I think it would be madness to break up the CB partnership. Unless either of them are carrying niggles, most youngish CBs should be able to play 3 games in a week.

Same injury Forster had and he was out for around 11 months. It's a much rarer injury than an ACL and the recovery time is normally slightly longer. Terrible news for the lad.

The aim of playing our from the back is to suck the opposition in and then exploit the space behind their midfield once they've committed themselves. We seem to do this, get behind them and then decide to pass it backwards or sideways again? It makes no sense to me.

He had just been booked and was trying to dribble past players outside his own box and giving the ball away. It's alright thinking you're good, but he isn't exactly banging in goals and making assists like someone with his supposed ability should be.

I'm not sure Martin will pick Sulemena after his terrible attitude yesterday.

Personally think he is pretty useless. Whenever he's had an opportunity (albeit limited) he just hasn't taken it. Not sure what his attributes are. He isn't very quick, can't hold the ball up, doesn't win headers, isn't very good at pressing. He's got a decent pass in him but I don't think that's enough at this level. I'd sell.

Agreed with this. His tackling/positioning is dreadful but thankfully we've got Downes who is very good at both.

He is still incredibly young in goalkeeper terms. He is no.1 for his country and his club. His distribution is up there with the best in the country. If he can work on his shot stopping technique then yes, definitely.

He did win two or three important tackle to be fair. Nothing other than that but at least he contributed something 😅

I've seen this view on Twitter that their team was assembled for pennies and how the teams on paper yesterday were a mis-match. Without going back, at least half their team played for them in the Premier League, I'm sure of it? Just off the top of my head - their whole defence plus Phillips, Diangana and their CM.

Tbf if you're going by resources, you could say that 3/4's of the league shouldn't be so far behind Ipswich, not just us. They are having an incredible season so far. It can happen.

Yep we really missed Smallbone and Downes going off didn't help things either. S.Armstrong is very good in that advanced position but isn't the same player deeper in the midfield. Manning just let's the winger cross the ball or run into the penalty area doesn't he? You can certainly tell he's a natural midfielder and not a defender.

THB is another one who is clearly a Premier League level player. He was outstanding.

I'd say Stephens is decent at this level. Probably third choice as I think Bednarek and THB are both better than him.

I really hope Bree is fit - the Holgate and Manning combo at Preston wasn't very inspiring.

I know Holgate isn't great but let's be realistic here, you probably aren't going to get anyone better as 4th choice in the Championship. It's just unfortunate Stephens has a long term injury.

Very similar to us in they score a lot of late goals. Rotherham really are such a poor side. Just shocking we only managed a draw. Edit - spoke too soon!

Same team but Holgate in for Bednarek. There's an argument that Fraser deserves a start but him as an impact sub seems to be working very well at the minute.
