  1. The team pretty much picks itself. Hopefully we'll have Redmond and Tella back on the bench - Djenepo and Walcott just don't inspire any confidence at all.
  2. Agreed. Like when he turned the defender on the byline in the first half - all it needed was a simple little pull back and it's 1-0. There are no arguments for not passing there as shooting himself was only a half chance.
  3. Totally agree. If he went back to Chelsea tomorrow there is no way he would be in their side. His decision making is quite poor at the moment but no doubt that will improve with experience. Hence why I think they may sell him in the summer with a buy back clause, similar to Tammy Abraham.
  4. Perraud injured? Other than Lyanco, McCarthy and Tella he is the only one not to be seen in any of the training galleries this week.
  5. He has his flaws but then again a club like us is probably his level. He has less flaws than McCarthy who is diabolical IMO. Wouldn't be against keeping Forster on lower wages and bringing in a younger keeper to compete with him for the No.1 spot.
  6. I suppose he rarely misses a game so yeah I get that. I just think that Stu is perfect for our system and the balance is affected so much when he isn't there.
  7. Stuart Armstrong is definitely our most important player. I don't think anyone can really deny that. The win % stats with and without him are incredible.
  8. Interesting question.. does Tino get back in this side? Perraud was man of the match tonight. Finally showing quality in the final third. He was like a prime Dani Alves tonight!
  9. Forster; KWP, Bednarek, Salisu; Perraud; Romeu, JWP; Redmond, Armstrong; Broja, Adams. I'd leave Tino out after he played almost 90 mins on Saturday. Give him a start on Saturday. Elyounoussi in for Broja if he isn't fit.
  10. I don't rate him as a player but Jack Stephens is the only one we have that is regularly in the referees ear. I do like his passion and it's what the fans want to see. Quite the opposite to Walcott who seems to shirk any responsibility and can't wait to get off the pitch at the end etc etc
  11. We should definitely be looking at Joe Worrall in the summer
  12. Callum O'Hare wasn't it? Tbh from watching that today he'd be an upgrade on most of our No 10's.
  13. Walcott and A.Armstrong were complete passengers. Walcott wouldn't even cut the mustard in League 1 these days. Small struggled and was clearly nervous. As mentioned above, not sure if he was a bit lazy or that's just his style of play. The second half onwards really showed why KWP and Stu Armstrong must play if fit.
  14. McCarthy; KWP, Lyanco, Stephens, Small; JWP, Diallo; Elyounoussi, Tella, Armstrong; Adams. Wouldn't risk Broja, Stu, Salisu or Romeu with two tough away games coming up next week. It would be a good opportunity for Small to make his debut - he's been impressive for the under 23s so far this season.
  15. As it looks like we won't be doing anything of note today, it looks set to be a very busy summer. When you look at it, a lot of players will be moving on or signing new contracts. Forster, McCarthy, Caballero, Lewis & Long are all set to leave this summer & Broja is going back to Chelsea as it stands. Djenepo, Walcott, Romeu, Elyounoussi, Redmond & Valery will only have a year left on their contracts, so will ideally need to be sold unless they are signing new ones. It'll certainly be interesting now we are in a slightly better position financially.
  16. Would probably be a good move him. Can't see him playing much here, has looked low on confidence for a while.
  17. Probably because they aren't really scouting, just chucking money at the obvious targets.
  18. It's not about who I'd bring in instead, that's the job for the scouting department. I'm sure there are players out there. He is very prone to ball watching and his mistakes have led to a number of goals conceded this season alone. If someone did offer silly money for him then I certainly wouldn't be adverse to him going. Doubtful anything will happen anyway.
  19. Newcastle interested in Bednarek according to sky. If we could rinse them for £20 million plus then happy days. Pretty average defender who makes a fair few errors.
  20. His agent is Nathan Bertrand, Ryan's brother. He also represents Broja, Simeu and Levi Colwill.
  21. Broja has clearly enjoyed his time here so far and obviously loves the fact he is pretty much guarenteed a start each week. I'd imagine he'd get a hefty pay rise if he joined us as well. Despite being a Chelsea lad, him joining us permanently isn't as far fetched as it might seem. Also he knows that if he performs well for us over the next 2-3 years he'll probably be back at Chelsea anyway. I wonder whether reported interest in Broja has sped up the bidding process from our end?
  22. Pretty good at defending (which is the main thing) but going forward he seems to struggle.
  23. One of the best CB performances I think I've ever seen to be honest.
  24. Forster; KWP, Bednarek, Salisu, Perraud; Romeu, JWP; Armstrong, Redmond; Adams, Broja.
  25. Not sure I get the hype with Tella tbh. Yes he is quick and yes he works hard but does he have any quality on the ball? If so I'm yet to see it. The quicker Tino and KWP are back in the side, the better.
