This really. I'm sure the club are doing everything they can to sign him permanently. If it doesn't happen then fair enough.
-
I would do this but have Adams in for Tella who looked absolutely knackered when he came off yesterday.
-
He's had one or two good games for us but that's about it. If we are planning on keeping KWP at LB long term then I'd sell Valery in the summer and buy a new RB.
-
Forster; JWP, Bednarek, Salisu, Perraud; Romeu, Diallo; Tella, Elyounoussi; Redmond, Broja. Subs: Caballero, Stephens, Lyanco, Chauke, S.Armstrong, Walcott, A.Armstrong, Long, Adams (if back from covid)
-
You say that but Long and Elyounoussi came on in the forward positions and looked much more of a threat. Not sure if he's low on confidence, struggling to adapt or not actually that great. As we know, Che struggled in his first season but he still contributed with his hold up play and good passing. I'm just not sure what Armstrong brings to the table.

Going by today's training gallery.. McCarthy, Smallbone and Livramento are currently out injured. Adams and Stephens are still out with Covid.
-
Their last 3 games have been postponed. Surely they don't have any players left that haven't had COVID!
-
Looks like we've lodged a complaint.. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/12/31/southampton-lodge-newcastle-complaint-premier-league-covid-cases/?utm_content=football&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1640958153-1

As annoying as it is, there are positives for the Wolves game in 2 weeks. Che, Lyanco and Stephens will be back, Tino can rest his knee and Salisu would've served his suspension.
-
Might as well just call it off now tbh and save everyone a waiting game.
-
Well I guess they can say that, although if they are returning negative tests after 6 days then the chances are they had very few symptoms.
-
4 of them missed the Man Utd game on Monday..so unless they all tested positive on that day then they should be back (as long as they are negative now obviously)
-
Don't forget the 3/4 players who did have covid should be back on Sunday providing they test negative.
-
Have you watched McCarthy this season? Most stuff hit straight at him or slightly to either side of him has gone in.
-
This is where Ralph's tactical naivety really shows. With Tella out and others not match fit surely you stick Diallo in CM with JWP and Romeu then play Redmond and Ely either side of Broja?
-
Out team is pretty average but we need to be harder to beat. You know we have two crap centre backs so why not try and protect them a bit more. Maybe try 3 in midfield? This obsession with 2 upfront and 2 in midfield in every game we play is our downfall.
-
If the 3 strikers are out then I'd go for this.. Willy; KWP, Lyanco, Salisu, Perraud; Romeu, JWP; Djenepo, Redmond; Tella, Long. Subs: Lewis, Stephens, Bednarek, Livramento, Diallo, Smallbone, Elyounoussi, Watts, Walcott.
-
Bednarek has really regressed over the last year or so to the point he is making basic errors in every single game. In my opinion we should give Lyanco a run of games next to Salisu now.
-
JWP has cost us there and he's been very average this season. We definitely look better with Diallo in the middle of the park. Personally I'd make Romeu captain and sell JWP in the summer.
-
Forster; KWP, Lyanco, Salisu, Perraud; Romeu, JWP; Redmond, Djenepo; Adams; Broja.
-
Broja is more cut out for the Premier League IMO. Just seems to have more about him. Not sure what Armstrong offers at all.
-
I would certainly give Tino a rest.
-
Forster, Armstrong and Redmond should all come in for this game although he may opt for Djenepo is Stuey isn't fit.
-
He is utter gash. That's all there is to say really.
