  1. Has Ralph said anything about Ings?
  2. Exactly. As important as it is to be able to bring the ball out from the back and play an extravagant pass, I'm sure we'd all prefer to see a centre back who can actually defend competently. Stephens had a purple patch when the league resumed after lockdown in June but before that and whenever he's played this season, he's made basic defensive errors. People who know about football have said some very good things about Salisu - give him the chance to prove it.
  3. Sounds like we are prioritising renewing contracts in January rather than making signings. Although Ralph did hint that if we did do anything it would be a loan with an option to buy. I guess Brandon Williams might fit into that category.
  4. I phoned last Tuesday and was told my refunds were being processed. I still hadn't received them earlier today so called again and they refunded me over the phone. Give them another call.
  5. Will we finally see Salisu? I wouldn't risk Vestergaard if he has a dodgy knee. I'd be surprised if Armstrong wasn't available though.
  6. He's understandably lost his pace but when he does get forward he can't get seem to get back. Personally I wouldn't offer him a new deal. We should prioritise a new left back in January and a winger in the summer.
  7. McCarthy, KWP, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Diallo, JWP, Armstrong, Djenepo, Walcott, Adams. Subs: Forster, Salisu, Stephens, Vokins, Smallbone, Redmond, Tella, Long, N'Lundulu
  8. I'd bring Redmond in for Armstrong. He was generally awful last night and clearly needs a rest.
  9. Apart from not fouling Saka!
  10. As weird as it sounds, that's definitely 2 points dropped. We seemed to lack a bit of belief and bravery on the ball after they went down to 10, almost as if we were a bit scared to lose the game. Ohwell if we get something on Saturday it won't be the worst result in the world.
  11. Yes we are playing in our away kit.
  12. Agreed. On the basis that Long and Obafemi are likely to either leave or not feature next season that leaves us with 3 strikers, one being a relatively unproven but promising youngster and another being a player that could well be leaving soon.
  13. Ings clearly rusty after the injury. Good job Che Adams looks anything but - another top class performance from him.
  14. They aren't bad in the middle of the park but other than that it's a distinctly average side and one we should be beating comfortably.
  15. I wouldn't say they are in a false position at all. They don't create enough chances and when they do they don't have good enough strikers to score goals. It doesn't matter how well you play, if the opposition scores 1 goal more than you every game in the season then you go down in 20th place.
  16. I've just received an email to say I've been unsuccessful for the Sheff Utd game.
  17. McCarthy, KWP, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Romeu, JWP, Redmond, Walcott, Adams, Ings Subs: Forster, Stephens, Salisu, Diallo, Armstrong, Djenepo, Long
  18. Armstrong was very anonymous and when he did get the ball he didn't really make the right decisions. I agree he needs a rest.
  19. I think he's basically confirmed this with his previous posts.
  20. I'd be pretty surprised to see Salisu involved without getting any minutes under his belt for the U23's.
  21. If he doesn't sign a new contract by January then to get a half decent fee we'd probably need to sell him next month. Would be a bit of a disaster but I've no doubt Saints are doing all they can.
  22. Same team for me with Ings and Redmond back on the bench instead of Long and Tella.
  23. Stephens being a good passer of the ball is a total myth. He regularly gives the ball away and has poor awareness in general. Vestergaard is light years ahead of him in that respect.
  24. Leeds play very nice football and are a joy to watch at times. Not so good infront of goal though.
  25. Can't imagine that's accurate. Maybe before the contract extension in April? I'm sure he would've had a hefty pay rise.
