  1. Long for Obafemi and KWP for Valery. Going for a 2-1 win.
  2. I'd imagine the players are Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth. No wonder we've deemed it unsatisfactory.

    20/21 Kit

Would prefer it reversed but would be pretty happy with that if true.
  4. Great early confidence booster for the lads. Norwich were diabolical but you can only beat what's Infront of you. Positives - JWP, Ings, Redmond and Stephens were very good. JWP and Stephens have improved massively over the course of the season. I was very critical of them both but they are proving me wrong. Armstrong improved as the game went on and it's good to see our midfielders chipping in with more goals. Negatives - Valery was shocking again and against a better side at least 2 of his mistakes would have led to goals. Obafemi needs to get his head up more often.. he's still young and has time on his side but doesn't do enough off the ball and often makes poor decisions. Hojbjerg was pretty poor and if he keeps playing like that then no one will want to buy him this summer. Overall a job well done and if we play like we did in the second half then we will beat Arsenal.
  5. Zimmerman, Hanley, Byram and Stiepermann are ruled out for Norwich, who only have two fit centre backs..
  6. He's a pretty average premier league player. Couldn't see him getting into any top 6 sides. Everton or Newcastle (if their takeover goes through) would probably be the best he could do. Should be able to replace him relatively easily and I imagine JWP will be given the captaincy.
  7. I predict that Hojbjerg, Bertrand, Danso and Boufal will all leave in the summer. Possibly Romeu as well. That would mean we'd need the following in the summer.. 2x CB 1x RB 1x LB 2x CM 1x AM 7-8 players in one summer? It's just not going to happen.
  8. Would take a draw if offered now. After the Liverpool game we've got a much better run where we should be picking up at least 8 points, basically making us safe.
  9. We were decent enough in the first half but I never felt we were in control of the game. They put Traore up top 2nd half and that is why made the difference. Our Centre backs could not cope with his pace and power. Stephens had a very poor game - there was absolutely no need to give away that penalty, Cedric was round on the cover and would have got to the ball before the wolves player. There can't be any other Central Midfield players in the league that pass as badly as Hojbjerg surely? He must have given the ball away about 20 times today. I thought Long and Cedric were decent but Ings didn't get much of a sniff at all. We need to get something from the Palace game with Liverpool away in a couple of weeks.

    Che Adams

Nketiah maybe but aren't the other 3 very much in their first team plans?
  11. You either go back to how it was or just say anytime the ball hits a hand it's a foul. The current law is ridiculous.
  12. McCarthy Cedric Stephens Bednarek Bertrand Hojbjerg JWP Armstrong Redmond Long Ings Subs: Gunn, Yoshida, Danso, Romeu, Boufal, Djenepo, Obafemi Djenepo and Boufal both seem to have far more impact from the bench. Long had a very good game at the King Power last season and is currently the best foil for Danny Ings. Rest of the team picks itself really.
  13. Gunn Cedric Yoshida Danso Vokins Romeu Smallbone Armstrong Boufal Obafemi Adams Subs: McCarthy, Vestergaard, Bertrand, JWP, Djenepo, Redmond, Long,
  14. How did Toby get away with that handball in the penalty area today? He was a good 5 or 6 yards away from the player that struck the ball and his hand was in an unnatural position above his head. VAR really is a bit of a shambles in its current state.
  15. Another really positive display. The commitment levels have really shot up over the past few weeks - fair play to Ralph for turning things around. Jack Stephens and JWP look like totally different players and the team as a whole is looking so much more solid. Other than Obafemi (the lad had a bit of a shocker) I can't think of another player who I'd give less than an 8 out of a 10. I thought when Shane Long came on he proved why he is the best partner for Danny Ings. If I was Ralph I'd give players like Bertrand, Bednarek, JWP, Hojbjerg, Redmond and Ings a rest on Saturday. Huddersfield are a really poor side and those guys have put in a serious effort lately. Onwards and upwards.
  16. Agree with this. Vestergaard is actually very composed on the ball and brings it out well for a big guy. As you mentioned he is very slow hence why he struggles in a 2 as opposed to a 3 at the back. If Ralph is looking at playing 3 different formations next season then I think we need a quicker centre back to play alongside Bednarek.
  17. I think 10 million would be a fair price for a player of his ability. Lacks pace and often gets caught out of position but can deliver the occasional decent cross. From what I've seen of Vokins I'd be happy to have him as a backup to Bertrand next season. If we manage to get a combined £15 million for Austin and Targett then I'd be happy with that. It would fund a new first team player.
  18. 3-5-2 Gunn Bednarek Yoshida Bertrand Valery Lemina Hojbjerg JWP Targett Redmond Long Subs - Forster, Ramsay, Stephens, Romeu, Sims, Austin, Ings
  19. On the basis that Vestergaard is still out, I'd start with the 4-2-2-2 that we finished the game with yesterday. We looked a lot more solid in the centre of the park and less shaky at the back. Romeu had a shocker and it's a close call between Ings and Long upfront as Ings was pretty terrible yesterday and Long has actually looked half decent in recent games. Gunn Valery Bednarek Yoshida Bertrand Hojbjerg Lemina Armstrong JWP Redmond Ings Subs: Forster Stephens Ramsey Romeu Sims Long Austin
  20. The poor recruitment has finally caught up with us. We wasted a lot of money on dross and the new owner isn't prepared to put any in to improve the team. Ralph had a bit of shocker again today though. Stephens are Targett are absolute garbage and probably aren't even good enough for the championship. 4 at the back should be the way forward now.
  21. Whilst I do agree to an extebt, I think Ralph expected us to sign a striker and a right back before the end of the window.
  22. McCarthy Valery Vestergaard Yoshida Bednarek Bertrand Romeu Hojbjerg JWP Redmond Don't have a clue who plays upfront as they're pretty much all as bad as each other.
  23. It's clearly going to be between us and Cardiff. Both teams are pretty poor and have a number of tough games left to play. Losing 6 points to them this season could be the decisive factor.
  24. I wonder why Bertrand isn't there. Injury flared up again after the Cardiff game?
  25. Bad day at the office for Ralph but we've seen this at home time and time again over the past few seasons. They problem goes a lot deeper than the manager. Players not up to it and a board that is seemingly happy to see us teetering on the edge of relegation. Every single fan knew we needed a striker, Ralph clearly wanted a striker but yet again the Board are failing us. Ah well, at least we're the net spend champions.
