  1. Keep in mind last summer 4/5 of our players lost were English, 3 of those were crucial first team players, and one a rotational player. Now one more is gone. Even for a strong academy like ours, a bottleneck was always going to happen to patch those over. Can't be choosy when there's a huge void in the team.

My god this transfer has gone back and forth constantly. Needs to get done with!
  3. I know for a fact that bringing up your clean sheet bonus isn't a training thing...
  4. I imagine this is how negotiations went http://i.imgur.com/R2JFU9J.gif
  5. Just popped up on BBC's Twitter feed, also confirmed on Leicester's twitter. Seems a bit odd really, especially with people thinking he should've been manager of the season after that escape Leicester quote: "The Board of Directors recognises the success Nigel has helped to bring to Leicester City during his two spells in charge of the Club, particularly during the last three and a half years. However, it has become clear to the Club that fundamental differences in perspective exist between us. Regrettably, the Club believes that the working relationship between Nigel and the Board is no longer viable. Leicester City’s owners, Vichai and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, and the Board of Directors would like to place on record their thanks to Nigel for the considerable contribution he has made during his time with the Club and wish him well in the future. Khun Vichai and Khun Top remain wholly committed to the Club’s long-term development and to on going investment in a squad that will continue to be competitive in the Premier League. We trust that the Club’s supporters will recognise that the owners have always acted with the best interests of the Club at heart and with the Club’s long-term future as their greatest priority. Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh will take charge of first team duties while the Club begins its recruitment of a new manager. There will be no further comment until this process has concluded."
  6. He'll definitely bring a lot of stability with his role though. Essentially a much better and younger Carrick.
  7. Not as bad as Rooney tbh. Though I can't say that supports Henderson too much either.
  8. The principality of it I meant his real name is "Juan Miguel Jiménez López" course that's not very convenient. Not sure why Cedric has it for his name too, but oh well.
  9. yeah he's most commonly known as Cedric, same as Juanmi.
  10. I'll get my coat before I say this, BUT... Cedric Soares he wears the white and red I just can't get enough I just can't get enough When he gets a tackle And when he intercepts I just can't get enough I just can't get enough He crosses in and Northam goes wild And I just can't seem to get enough Soares dudududududududududududu... god that is bad, but obviously right-backs aren't prolific goalscorers
  11. How's his surname pronounced then? Swah-rez? might nick the dippers' song
  12. Hope so. He's a 'potential' player, probably going to get more out of him, same as Juanmi difference with Elia is that he's 28 and probably not getting any better.
  13. Looks like we'll just have to wait till we go out at the group stages next year.
  14. "Team v Slovenia: 1 Hart 2 Jones 3 Gibbs 4 Henderson 5 Cahill 6 Smalling 7 Wilshere 8 Delph 9 Sterling 10 Rooney © 11 Townsend #SvnEng" F*ck me. Hope we lose if Gibbs and Jones are getting starts ahead of Bertrand and Clyne... ok probably not, but it's ludicrious..
  15. we'll probably end up going 4-4-2, don't think Ox was called up because of injury. hopefully leaving Clyne out last game was just to see if Jones would be able to fill in as a RB in case Clyne gets injured...Andy Townsend was saying Phil Jones should cement that 'open' position for himself... As for Gibbs, god no. Please tell me it won't even take a PFA TOTY place to convince Woy that he's the best option
  16. He contributed to that Next Chapter video...which was plenty for me.
  17. Villa just became an incredibly hyped team after winning a few games lots of analysis over mediocre-poor players like Cleverly because he was in decent form then we put them in their place...
  18. CDMs don't get many anyway. It's 7 between them I think, which is a good return, but really we should be seeing Fonte and Toby scoring more from corners (or anyone for that matter), we're totally ineffective at them despite the hype around JWPs set pieces.
  19. Well, the express doesn't beat around the bush... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/582176/Victor-Wanyama-transfer-latest-Arsenal-Southampton Vic's quotes have apparently gone from "I like Arsenal" to "I want to go to Arsenal"
  20. Fully confirmed now - should do a great job.
  21. Looks like we've already started tapping up some European talent!
  22. WHY IS THIS POMPEY PLAYER ON MY BOARD?
