  1. The pay rises were coming regardless of who as in government, the junior doctors and train drivers situations would have had to be settled eventually and the others were in line with the pay review boards recommendations. Care to link to the interview you watched?
  2. for something to screech to a halt implies it was going somewhere quickly, UK economic growth has been sloth like for over a decade blaming any recent blip on the current government seems a bit childish when they have only been driving for the blink of an eye
  3. Wage control how funny, unionised salary negotiations have been part of British life for over 100 years or so under all governments was it wage control when the Tories negotiated with the unions? The way you post in this thread really is quite amusing even if it does strongly resemble the style of a troll, in you pop every now and then with some latest slightly controversial gotcha type post that you think backs up your world view. Lots of people post counter arguments which you roundly ignore before posting some similar usually false/biased gotcha that you think reinforces your most recent point followed by more ignoring of the responses. Give it a couple of days you will be back with some other right wing fallacy copy and pasted from some echo chamber of a news outlet, good luck to you if it makes you happy but no matter how many times you say it Harris and Starmer will never be Marxists, Farage will never be PM and Trump will never be a decent honest human being
  4. No way he is signing a contract of that length here sadly!
  5. He's clearly a good player and will hopefully go on to be top draw, but that goal is a bit m'eh count how many players actually try and tackle him.
  6. Why is 'woke' used as some sort of insult? seems a pretty sensible thing to be to me if you want to be leader of a political party or nation! 'aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues especially of racial and social injustice.'
  7. I find it difficult to imagine a less inspiring leader than Jenrick, this is a man so corrupt that even Boris had to give him the boot! He makes SKS look like the king of charisma which is probably his only impressive contribution to politics to date!
  8. What wonderful times we live in when those two are the best the Tory party can dredge up! A serial failure and a raving lunatic, I don’t see either of them winning the next election as they have about as much appeal to the centre as a pack of hungry lions does to a zebra!
  9. I’d echo those thoughts, I thought he was a great appointment and he brought some good players with him sadly it didn’t work out and like you say it was all down hill from there. Things could have been very different if we’d won that penalty shoot out against Derby! Best of luck to George and his family I hope this is a fight he wins.
  10. Not sure why anyone is calling that a wonder goal I counted zero actual tackles made while he ran in basically a straight line up the pitch! Reminded more of Marsden's ‘wonder goal’ rather than Maradona’s actual wonder goal!

Trickle down economics proven time and time again to work perfectly ........ if you are rich, the economic equivalent of been pee'd on from a great height. It's right up there with the old we can't tax the mega rich anymore or they will all leave the country.....
  12. It shouldn’t take much beyond being coherent and stable, DonOLD is starting to look nearly as dodgy as old Joe!
  13. Oooooooh look a Brexit supporter cherry picks one graph that they think shows that the UK economy is out performing some major European ones and posts it to the internet pretending that they have finally found the gotcha tat proves Brexit was a success. While everyone else groans and points them to the bigger picture where all experts agree that the Brexit decision has had a significant, ongoing and long lasting negative impact on the UK economy, look even the governments own Office for Budgetary Responsibility spells it out and has done consistently since the referendum. https://obr.uk/forecasts-in-depth/the-economy-forecast/brexit-analysis/#assumptions I know you won't listen and you'll be back in another week or two to post yet another amazing Gotcha because we did better than an EU economy at something, sadly some people can't be reached they have wedded themselves so heavily to an idea that they will never accept they were wrong/hoodwinked by rich establishment types.
  14. Was he interfering with play though lol
  15. Proves that all you need to do it spend 90 minutes watching us pass it around in our own area and at some points we will misplace a pass or get pressed off the ball and let you score a tap in.
  16. We also no longer have one of the 2/3 best teams in the league, it’s always going to be easier to look good when you have the best players (ask pep) we now have one of the 4/5 worst teams in the league so insisting on playing in a way that hands opportunities to the opposition is madness even city don’t much about with it and the back as much as we do because they don’t want to be handing other teams the opportunity to score easy goals.
  17. Surely it is if the manager is the problem and he is unwilling to change then he should go? Nobody else is responsible for telling players without the ability to do it to play the ball around in our own box and invite the opposition onto us time and time again. If Martin swallows his pride, sets us up differently against United and ditches the suicidal tippy tappy in the box nonsense then I'm ok with him staying but if he is unwilling to change and change quickly then he will be the reason we go down this season.
  18. I don't think anyone thinks otherwise but if we are going to hand teams 2 goals leads it's not going to be hard it's going to be impossible! I fully expect us to struggle this season and I wouldn't be overly surprised if we went down but at the minute we look more like we are going to be down by the end of October!
  19. I'm happy to call for his head if he is unwilling or unable to change the way he sets the team up, the board should have a quick chat and ask him if he intends to persist with gifting the opposition a handful of tap ins a game and if he says yes they should show him the door.
  20. and if we are going to play it around between the backline they need to be further up the pitch so every mistake doesn't become an instant goal scoring opportunity, giving the opposition the ball in or on the edge of the box 3 or 4 times a game is going to give us a mountain we can't climb as premier league player don't miss many of those chances even the lesser team have forwards who will punish us/
  21. Amusingly I said after the three games in a row screw up just after the start of last season that the automatic slots were gone and that the play offs were the best we could hope for... This season unless the penny drops very soon we will be relegated, our squad isn't good enough to make up for the goals we will concede playing this way unlike last season when it was.
  22. The sad thing is we will know as soon as the lineup is announced if he has done anything with the two week break! If we lineup with 3 at the back the we know nothing has changed and Man Utd will likely absolutely thrash us.
  23. Yet the manager has shown no hint of learning anything, as soon as I saw the lineup yesterday I said to the wife we loose and loose we did for exactly the reasons I thought we would. I’m not a football manager and I can see it why can’t/won’t he?
  24. Have any teams playing 5 at the back been successful in the Premier League let alone one that was always set to struggle against relegation?
  25. Why waste two games? The board need to ask him if he is going to change the style if not they should fire him in the morning!
