  1. I still feel the same about those 2. Sadly they had the last laugh. To be fair to Bailey when he came to the Dell that season where he had got Osgood and another sent off, and the crowd were as aggressive as you see his Blackburn teammates withered but he stood up I think we won 5-0 that day
  2. I think unless you have had the honour to see them play Its hard to put them on the list, I am lucky to have seen Big Ron and Mick Channons early years (Terry Paine late in his day) although Im sure Id like to swap the years to be younger!!!!
  3. Not many have put Rodney Wallace in theor selection. It is a surprise as I feel the Rod Wallace and Mlt combination was as exciting a partnership I have seen (Ekelund was marvellous as well) Ron Davies must be top for me and I suggest for most who started going in the late 60's like myself. Top scorer in the top league 2 seasons as far as I recall. 4 goals at Old Trafford against a team with Charlton Law and Best. Bowyer as well again top goalscorer in the top division. Channon, MLT, Moran, Armstrong, Niemi, Shilton, Michael Svenson all make it.
  4. Doucore is what we need, but perhaps when he was a few years younger. Id still like him here but I suggest his wages are massive. Everton do pay big wages
  5. I feel he was treated appallingly by us. Ok he came from Pompey and we didnt like it as he was a cheap price,we still had thoughts of grandeur after being in the PL/Division one for decades.
  6. Listening to female players asking for parity in wages is madness. Dont they understand that 10's of millions watch the mens game and what that generates compared to the womens game. Some female players use their sexiness to promote themselves on the pitch, which is a nonsense if they want to be serious in the game. The Swiss girl being the most prominent for that.
  7. East of Southampton, East European, Chinese, Korean or that American from the Eastern seaboard?

  20. superb thanks for reviving the memories, I would be standing right behind the Archers goal in those days. Imagine modern footballers having to play that standard on those pitches!! The way he took the ball around the keeper, somethng you dont see that much of nowadays.
