For those advocating Moyes On 22 May 2017, Moyes resigned as Sunderland manager after the club finished bottom of the Premier League
-
Interfering with play I thought
-
I thought Manning played well and did well for our goal. Our support superb throughout
-
Great CB so who do you suggest will come? Potter wouldnt go to Leicester so he wont us, January transfer window is notoriously expensive and difficult. Therefore what manager will want to take this squad on, knowing that paying off RM will take most of our budget. People mention Moyes On 22 May 2017, Moyes resigned as Sunderland manager after the club finished bottom of the Premier League So no quick fixes out there. Grin and bear it, we are improving, the fans last night were superb and behind the team all game. RM is tweaking the team and learning, therefore I will stick with him although not fully convinced.
-
I dont think so. He may be a god to us but hard headed football clubs wont. I do wonder if Chelsea put in a clause when he returned back to us
-
that would work well im sure, constructive dismissal comes to mind as they would have made his position impossible
-
I dont know how those scarf sellers are allowed, surely they should have to have street traders licences?
-
I agree our fans have a real misjudgement of the quality of our squad compared to the rest. We are pinning our hopes on an 18year old kid. I cant see many PL clubs chasing any of our players in January apart from Tyler, and KWP looking to get him cheap
-
Hard to prove though I suggest,in theory he would only have to show his keeper kicking the ball long twice a game instead of once and he could say he has changed.
-
To be fair I thought he coped with losing 2 important players well and surprised us with FD's role and it nearly worked. Its just the way he makes players of average ball playing ability to to do stuff that is a bit complicated
-
Of course he can be told to change but what can the club do if he refuses, the club could then sack him and all the costs that entails
-
He is not responsible for everything but he has it ingrained that we have to keep possession at all costs. The 'risk and reward' approach. To me the rewards are about as useful as money back coupons on Durex in a Nunnery
-
Once TP went off we went back to normal hardly getting in their half (I know we did score) They pushed right up on us and as we dont play through balls there compressed the play. 3 players on Tyler as well
-
and about 5-8k of fans
-
its a 10-12m pound decision, I'm not surprised they haven't pulled the plug. Yet again the club rolled out long extended contract extensions that end up hamstringing us. Of course that was to protect us from him being poached by Barcelona and Real Madrid
-
He really got the fans excited and gave us a real lift
-
Sadly if you listen to the Totalsaints podcast a fan came on and said some ridiculous derogatory things about him being a parks footballer. This was last week, I hope the buffoon has now got it stuffed firmly down his throat
-
I liked the way we played yesterday, but that is so rare with the way RM style allows. If he would have played Tall Paul earlier i the season and been more proactive up the pitch Im sure most would be with him but his football is tedious and I'm sure all clubs know how to combat it as they play against the style regularly, against more skilful players.

My take, the 2nd goal by Salah was from the same ball that Beto had that was offside. The player passing was not pressed and it allowed Salah to run in unchallenged, THB playing him onside (a constant problem) When asked post match could he keep us up RM replied @of course I wouldn't be here otherwise' implying he could easily find a job elsewhere, he also had a sarky comment about the crowd cheering when AM went long saying that then Liverpool had the ball for 3 1/2minutes after. Well we played it short and the ball was in our net 10 seconds later. Tall Paul was a breath of fresh air, having someone who gave their centre backs a tough afternoon, and if we played the ball long could at least hold the ball up. Sadly he is now out for a month, and so back to having 2 shorties trying to vie with big strong defenders. I noticed the body language between Tall Paul and Rm was not warm when he left the pitch. He gave a lot of lift for the crowd and Im sure the Liverpool defence were relieved as his replacement did nothing
-
I think we need o come to terms with the case that RM is here for the season and will be left to get us back up next season. He has made some poor squad selections for the more important 6 pointers that have cost us. Hopefully he learns for us in future. The Bournemouth game was the worst IMO as they were nervous but we gave them a foothold and they grew. Much like Bristol City last season where he messed around with the team making lots of changes and we were awful

Aaron Ramsdale - Official: Loaned to Newcastle
OldNick replied to Saint Fan CaM's topic in The Saints
Especially as there hasnt been any update on Flynn that I have seen -
I dont wish to get into a long drawn out conversation with you but, Gao left Semmens alone to run the club. In that period we comfortably stayed up and didnt have the debacle of the past seasons. We dont really know how the money spent has been allotted and whether there is a lien on the club. Gao would have spent had it not been for the Chinese government closing the ability to send money out.
-
In my opinion Gao was a better owner. Semmens said he had 3 offers for us and chose SR. I wonder if he now regrets what he has done to us....or probably doesn't care
-
Gallagher, he couldn't judge a marrow competition! He was an awful ref and now he is being paid for giving his crap opinions now

2 big calls gone against us , the disallowed goal toady and shirt pull v Leicester. Important turnings in crucial games
