it is depressing to think that they are the 2nd options. It does not make Clynes inclusion as the correct choice though. I hope Clyne improves that little but more next season. I suggest that Clynes World Cup hopes disappeared at WHL last season where he turned our likely victory into a defeat by one terrible error when Roy was watching
-
I do dent that, he obviously did not do himself any favours in the England under 21 competition last summer. As has been stated many times he has been kept out of the Saints by Chambers and so in theory not NO1 in his club team. I do like Clyne by the wait but not bias enough to think he is better than Johnson.

Is not about the words IMO but the pride of representing the country. If it is about a catchy tune we could get Stock Aitkin and Waterman get one for us.
-
all due respect Gemmel but forums!!! Some on her think Cork and Clyne should be playing for England ffs. Lukaku would be a massive signing for us IMO.

Sadly it is a wake up call for Luke, as he will now be patently aware that being a top star who I'd now in the goldfish bowl of the media. Never again will he be confident that his life partner/girlfriends are with him for who is is. The price of fame.

I wonder if a player got international recognition while playing under Hr he may get a commission in his contract as their value would be enhanced. I doubt he would then encourage them not to play if so

you sound like a Wolfie Smith to me. Women look at men in a sexual way ,(not all of course) it's nature.
-
I watched the Beatles tribute last night and thought that Paul McCartney is looking ore like Harry by the week
-
Mother Nature I'm afraid. Please don't tell me women do not look at men as sex objects as well. Unsolicited abuse is wrong, but all this high and mighty men are all ba###### nonsense does get on my goat. Most women want to be attractive to other men, and the girls you see wondering around on Saturday nights with very little on is not to attract compliments from women.
-
None of them, the ones who would come to us are no good and players who shine don't always turn out any good either. Gerhinho looked good the only night ffs
-
Porta Portese market 1 shirt and Portsea market would be full of them for sale, nobody wearing them though
-
they will finish above us

I am happy to hold. My hand up and say he is good. Frustrating, yes but when he learns when to pass he will be a very decent player. I'd love him at Saints

The fact is since 1966 we won nothing and we had no foreign footballers then , so I don't think it is that problem. It is the crude, long ball, work rate, and get stuck into him nature that is a must for the kids from a young age. Any kid with skill gets it kicked out of him. I recall on the Saint radio when a former Saints player was on talking about kids football and how he said there was a young lad playing well and he wanted the opposition to kick him out of the game! I did phone and tell him he should not be near kids football. That attitude has killed our football, the 'it's a working class game' means that a lot of low mentality coaches run teams and we never have the finer parts of the game tuned up. To stand on the sidelines and hear the parents screaming for their kid to kick him or worse is not how you breed intelligent and skilful footballers.
-
but Andy that falls flat as we had a load of Liverpool and Everton players in the same team. Jagielka and Baines didn't work and the Liverpool connection failed. The hard fact is that English players need the guile and desire of other nations players to make them look good. I dislike Hoddle intensely but have warmed to him in the last year or so, he does talk sense and I would get him back as England manager ASAP. If Ian Wright is so respectful of him to still call him gaffer and he only played a few times for him, then he must be decent.

We. Couldn't batter a piece of cod. We need a forum team to take them on lol
-
Until we have coaches teaching the kids at avery young age how to pass and move we will be where we are forever. It's still all about the lads who develop early who kick the s### out of the little ones, that stops those losing I interest and coming through. The bigger lads then get into the school teams and are then take. By the clubs. Proper competitive football should not be allowed until the kids are 12.in the meanwhile the youngsters should play just passing and skill games.

Amusing if he leaves them now
-
Rooney should have been left where he was during the Italy game as his goal and the goal he created both came from him being on the left. Playing Sturridge out wide was madness
-
I said before the Italy game that Sterling should not play from the start but to be used as a shock tactic with his pace. Each game his energy has been wasted early in the match. We didnt play with the energy or freedom we had in the first game. It seems to me our media and our players get it in their head that Pirlo, Balotelli and Suarezs of the world are so frightening that we just give them freedom. Why did we not kick Suarez in the air in the first 15 minutes? they would had it been our star player.
-
but he's not quality IMo. He is lightweight and hardly prolific. As i recall he was dire at the start of the season. Didnt he also collapse in the dressing rooms at halftime in one game?
-
you are top class at mocking CB , what were your words when somebody had a go at yo for your opinions .Something about your right to a view and shouldn't be slapped down. I can't be a##### to go and look but you got all precious. As for AL head turned by Gerrard, I agree AL would have had thoughts about other clubs but having Gerrard in your ear encouraging you can make you jump. Had Gerrard been negative I suspect it would make AL less likely to leave. I am sure we have all tapped up players from other clubs to join us in our own sporting world, not professional of course but a word in the ear does make a difference

Take the money

Hopefully his scarf is not too worn to be put out on the club shop shelf for sale again

seems the charm offensive will be now the order of the day.
