  1. Wes I dont think I could put my hand up and say that there wouldnt be saints fans who'd think the same if the roles were reversed. That paragraph sums up why I believe they have got away with it. Most clubs fans in all of football except for the top 6 of the PL might take that if they were offered it to have those life experiences. If they had not cheated their kids would never have experienced those days that robbed other clubs fans of the same because they played it correctly. Fair play would be demoted to the Southern League etc and then i would also agrwee that they then had paid the price, until then i will not change my mind.
  2. true, lol
  3. its ok you are among mates.
  4. that would be very difficult to prove. TB would say he was only making people aware of the clubs position and who can be responsible for the action of its customers. They will of course come out and not condone any actions by fans.
  5. I think he is a terrier in midfield with a bit of bite, a will to win and has played in the PL.Good signing if true, but I suspect that it was someone who looks like him there are plenty around who look ugly like a rotweiler. Just go to Southsea common and thats just the women
  6. those players have had an easy ride so far, wait until the training starts and they have to face the fans one to one. The pressure will be become intense and TB etc know that that pressure will become unbearable as it gets closer to the end. I have no doubt the players will give in as the hate campaign will become pretty fierce. I couldnt say it wouldnt be the same with us. Anyone around in the Branfoot days will know how awful fans can be and that was not about survival
  7. Frank he put a smiley at the end and so I suspect it was how he wished it to be
  8. So much for toast then. The CVA being passed will mean that the FL can waive any penalties and Pompey can live on still wallowing in their past glories. Many will say they have not got away with it but I believe they have had a whale of a time and taken a small pill. Since watching Saints from the late 60's Pompey were always off the radar except a flirtation with the top league for one season under Bally. So for 40 years years they did SFA, and then they had the overspending and cheating that gave them a wonderful time in the sun and many Wembley trips. They are now back to where they were, but if history is a lesson they are still alive and could rise from the cesspit once again.
  9. MLT took the blame at the time but it came in the press afterwards that it was Steve McManaman who did the damage as he had a column in an Italian paper and he was responsible for the leak
  10. Dont worry you will get away with it, although fans at other clubs are now waking up to the fact and are starting to resent the club.
  11. i thionk Rodney Wallace was the last really decent winger with pace and skill we had. MLT and him had a wonderful understanding and I recall against QPR away and I think Liverpool at the Dell they scored a few by their play together. i was always upset that they were split so early in their careers
  12. Its fairly obvious the FL dont wish to do anything that will push them under. Any cynical owner will know that and so uses that to their advantage. I suspect the PFA and FL lawyers are looking at any possibilities they can to evade paying the outstanding wages to the players. 'But the PP will cover that' i hear people cry but as i see it if Pompey go into liquidation any pp will stay with the Pl and leave the PFA and Fl holding the baby
  13. that is probably the worst insult you could hand out!!!! I throw my toys out of the pram not arrange them on shelves
  14. Imran Khan ? Granty have you got my cheque yet? im still getting ads and I should be a full member
  15. exactly, i said that to a Bournemouth fan this morning. I suspect Bompey home is their biggest gate of the season and the FL conveniently made it their first fixture to get a bit of interest out there. It may get a few more s/t sold.
  16. how can you expect us to remember all those verses, not 1 word about pompey and no quality lyrics like Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve. Just a bunch of pussies IMO
  17. Is it only me that thinks that now TB is also working more in BC interests than anyone elses? He is using crude methods of pressure on the players (they will become more unbearable as they come back for training as every fan will be on their backs)to walk. Whilst many on here would say 'well I would put up with it for 30k a week' i suggest in real time it will not be so easy. No-one wants to face the torrent of abuse all the time and i suspect some will crumble. Yet again the football authorities are watching the crime but hiding behind the curtains instead of going to stop it. TB said some weeks ago the money is going to run out but magically they can still limp on another 5 weeks. Where those funds are coming from is a bit of a mystery, i know they have sold a couple of players but was it all up front? As for the FL ,as soon as they grant the golden share they will allow the potential chaos of folding during the season happen.

    Twitchy Gone!

Perhaps in a professional sense but he did not look like a broken man yesterday as he went to the bank. He is loved by the press and his name will be linked with lots of jobs, the person broken is Kevin Bond as IMO,he would not get a job at McDonalds if HR is not behind him

Levy supported HR during his court case. he also knows that there is a chance of more surfacing in the future. HR on Sky and the BBC talking about his contract will annoy Levy as he knows he is trying to drum up pressure from the fans.
  20. Adult about it lol, ITV is a British television station and so the only way I could easily view that game of football. I expect no bias for a country that is not part of the UK, will the commentators wet their pants if the Polish score etc etc on the basis there are a lot of their subjects here?. I understand why Sky do, as they wish to sell into the Republic.
  21. i don't understand why the media have a love in with the Republic of Ireland. It seems to be the international version of the medias blindness to Pompey. I have never seen any pro English stuff from their side, in fact they seem to want us to lose with just as much passion as our media seem to want them to win. To me they have no greater affinity than France who are even geographically closer to where i live.
  22. if Pompey did go into liquidation would that mean the FL would have to pay the players contracts up? The PP would not come from the Pl and so perhaps the FL cant afford them to go pop and hence is a bargaining tool for TB and why the FL are doing nothing. of course I may have got it wrong who would have to pay if they do go pop
  23. There are certain players who fans never appreciate. A small clique find fault and can never forgive, they hide away and wait for their chance to snipe. KD came here and from day 1 had a faction against him due to the Sunderland fans telling us he was no good, they had used him as a scapegoat in their relegation season. Every goal keeper has weaknesses and makes mistakes, we have some on here wanting Green over KD ffs and he has been Mr Calamity on many occasions, then others have mentioned Bogdan on the back of watching him 1 time!! KD 2 seasons running has been voted best keeper in the league by the players who had played against him, IMO that tells me more than the judgement of the few who have an axe to grind on here. Thankfully the managers have kept faith and didn't listen to some who begged that Richard Wright be signed and KD be sold. (Wright did well when he was here but time has shown it was a purple patch) I do agree that we need a back up and if KD is not up to the PL this time round we need to make that change, but to drop him without a chance would be shameful. KD's performances are one of the main reasons we are in the PL, his saves at crucial times have been as important as RL's goals. Add his loyalty
  24. this saga has opened my eyes to how bent and useless the law is when a company ploughs headlong into administration. it used to common to hear that a 3 piece suite company closed one day and re-opened the next and you would just brush it off thinking 'they can't keep doing it' Patently they can and do, and the people we in society look to to uphold decency bury their heads in the sand. Is it self interest /incompetence or dishonesty I'm not sure but I am still of the belief Pompey have/will got away with it. All those who are happy for them to limp on I would like to point out that, Pompey were always swimming around the depths of the lower leagues until they hit a couple of owners who by hook or crook got them to the PL and Fa cup final. By them staying alive it could happen again in your lifetimes, is it worht risking? They should be crushed forever, but decency will not prevail and the dishonest club will survive
  25. The creditors will accept, the ones who are in CVA1 will have lost any energy to fight and would be expecting nothing and any new ones will be as stupid as the first lot. BC who is worshipped on here as being great is IMO the only reason Pompey were not liquidated 3-4 years ago. if he had not lent them mnoey then they were finished, no AA , no second FA cup final etc etc. He is the reason they will survive now and in time Pompey fans will revere him as he saved them.
