  1. the difference is that a woman on the blob only stays like it for a few days. It is comical how he tries to argue that the money was not football related,I assume the 90k a week paid to the likes of Crouch etc was paid out of the gate receipts. We told him under MM that they were overspending but as always he wouldnt have it
  2. if his heart was in pulling on a saints shirt then I'd like him to join us. He is a brave and committed defender, a player who will play on through the pain barrier.
  3. Holepuncture you put the I 4-1 on your posts, why the Pompey expressions???
  4. the Canadian billionaire mention in the papers today, saying Pinavi has introduced him to Birch. He does suermarkets and sperhaps sell FP and then open up elsewhwere. Also I thought Henderson etc didnt want to go a few weeks back, I assume he left his phone on this time now he is only getting 75% of his wages lol
  5. Big Sam is certainly looking to have a massive squad. is he buying those 2 only to help keep Pompey alive or are they PL quality???? As for Tiny Tears Ho and his remarks, i have not been wrong during this saga, he cant say the same. What was it Tesco are going to pay £20m for the ground but Chanrai etc would get none of it Lol
  6. probably, none of those quotes when we were so close to be gone forever though
  7. and people scoffed when I and others say they will get away with it! I have said before that too many people at the top wish to keep the lid on dealings that may have happened when the cash went adrift. FA's throughout the world had dealings with Pompey, how much was dirty money? Iam amazed how other clubs let this happen, and lie down and let them do it.
  8. very true, WHU should have been relegated due to the Tevez affair. I note WHU have loaned Piquionne out to Donny, he could make a difference to their season as well, whilst he is not a fantastic player he will be playing against us soon. As a footnote I met Westwood on friday he was setting up at an exhibition, none of his makeup or tattoos were on display. He was pretty sensible, but had to put 'I 4 1' in the conversation, I just laughed, he then added the date , sometime in 05. He was bemused that HR had got away with his case and had heard that a lot of the evidence was discounted due to a mistake processing it. He was not fazed by them starting again and said something about buying their history back if they went out of business aka Wimbledon, i wish i was on the ball enough to have said 'well you bought it the first time ,and so why not' Generally he is just a football fan, he was wearing a Pompey tie and as i passed i said I would be wearing my saints one and he replied 'fair play' none of the usual stuff you get when first meeting some of the thick skates.
  9. That is why Gold was so keen for the FCR to go when he was on Sky sports the other night. They will be happy to take the minus 10 points if they go up this season as they would yet again get the extended parachute payments , spent 1 more year in the Championship as they rebuild for promotion again.
  10. if you listen to his interview saturday that was put on here, he says that he knows people with money in the states and he is going to try and encourage them to invest. he is staying in England this week to talk to TB. With mates like him who needs enemies!!! i wouldnt like a friend to give me an 'opportunity' like Pompey thanks very much
  11. the Sky special report was the weakest insight i think i have seen. A waste of 30 minutes of my life. To blame the revenue for not demanding the money earlier!!!! The clubs just put back paying the taxman and pay people who they need to keep the club running first, then worry about the penalties and interest later if at all. No doubt most football fans will sit back and think 'football is being attacked' Storrie really does have thick skin to go on national tv. I cant recall how much Pompey paid in image rights when they went into admin 2 years ago, i thought it was quite a lot but Storrie said last night he knew little about it as they had only paid a small amout as image rights.
  12. It is amusing reading all the paper snobs on here. if people want to have a light hearted read so be it. As for the Leveson enquiry and people like Church (600k ffs) bleating on, it was only the scandal and tittle tattle that kept them high profile so long. We all want the good bits in life but those celebs who take the money by being in the red tops then don't like it when some un-savoury things in their life come out. As for Prescott, a man who courted Murdoch so he could have power.... what a hypocrite.
  13. as they sell their tickets at cut prices in one of the more glamorous games of their season, just grab the sick bowl as the media start telling us how the fans are coming out in numbers to support their fantastic club in its hour of need
  14. sorry my reply was to the Skates quote, we as Saints fans bought tickets for others etc etc at the time of our crisis
  15. No but tickets were purchased by fans and given to others , 10 were bought and given out on the radio by a fan from here all to help funds coming into the club
  16. does the lad they are selling to Liverpool come into the 14 fir player. How can they in 1 hand say they havent 14 and then still loan out. Also if they get loans in will they have to go straight back as soon as the 14 players are fit again? Slowly more fans on here are starting to believe like myself and a few others that the powers to be really dont wish for the can of worms to be opened.
  17. BC will rue not pulling the plug on them, at least he would have got most of his money back. I suspect TB is looking very closely at the paperwork regarding BC's 17m and if he could somehow lose that debt Pompey would become saleable to the trust. I think it is the crux of the whole deal. Old Tiny Tears thinks that BC did not save them, all those plastic fumes he sucks in as he stacks the shelves is taking a toll. If BC had not helped by investing/giving a loan (when the rest of the world were not interested) Pompey were dead. For that act Im delighted if BC loses his money, I'll just as pleased if AA also gets his cumuppence as his manoevours also saved them. if a firm like TB had come in originally they would be gone by now,AA and BC who are now seen by them as villains really should be seen as Pompey heroes. They helped them carry on their cheating and Wigan of the South are still breathing
  18. IMO Chanrai of all the people ever involved in your club, is the one you morons should be worshiping. If it was not for his money Pompey would have been gone forever. He fell for a bad business deal and got the runt of the litter. Yes he has since run the club to try and squeeze some money back but i would say without doubt that if he could put the clock back he would never have got involved in the first place.
  19. Restructure their debts, = get the revenue etc to agree to take small payments over a long period. The CVA will also be strung out again. Its so galling that they are still alive and kicking but we should be used to it now. just wait for the players to flood in. They have a administrator who seems to be a bit more realistic and so the large wage packets may be a thing of the past
  20. Well if you listen to Prescott he says spend, of course the years under labour we did so and look what has happened. You can only spend on a credit card so long before you have to do something. We as a nation did so, and are now having to cut our cloth accordingly. Until we get our export earnings up and earn more than we spend we will be in this position. As the developing world take more of our markets we will suffer even more, we need to take the medicine and get on and lose the debt burden. it will be a disaster if we lose our credit rating as it will cost the treasury more to borrow and so the purse will have less in it to spend. That is why we have to carry on cutting.
  21. the reason for the possible down grade from Moodys is mainly due to the Greek debt and how that is going to effect us due to the amount of business we do with Europe. We have to hold our nerve and keep to the measures we are using to cut our debt. Greece are the Pompey of europe
  22. As I it, BC will now take a cut price deal and sell, Pompey will not go down and just stave off relegation. A group will buy them at a knock down price and the CVA will be pushed back so far into the distance the creditors will eventually accept less than 5p in the £. Saying that, i suspect the quality over quantity will be cast aside and Pompey will become what they were until their golden period when the taxpayer contributed to their success and be around the bottom of the Championship or worse. I still believe they have got away with it, and am amazed that other clubs just turn over and let their tummies get rubbed. The laughable phrase 'the football family' will be yet again paraded and they will be allowed to prosper. They did the dirty deed with their sister, wiped themselves clean on the best pair of their mums curtains and then walked away smiling. The media never mention the victims of their charades ie charities ,st johns ambulance etc, but the poor fans who had all those terrible days going to Wembley on the back of it.
  23. the judge questions that they are running solvent and then allow them the protection of administration!!!
  24. .Although, of the 12 who took part in the full session, eight were from the club’s academy. The remaining four were Kanu, Adam Webster, Dave Kitson and Aaron Mokoena. well the picture shows a lot of the first team squad in training, so yet another mistruth. As for today, if Pompey were a normal business I would expect that administration would not be permitted. As it is a football club with the MP etc really on the case and getting special meetings with the top brass at the Revenue etc i suspect they will be fine.
  25. I do hope we have made sure we get our money upfront. it does seem a long time ahead to sell the tickets and is it yet another way they are getting funds in to use to keep afloat?
