Great post Daren, I hate the arrogance a few of our fans have. The fans and clubs we have had the HONOUR to play are followed by proper football fans who are loyal to their team. Ok they may play at rubbish grounds with poor standards of players and half empty grounds, but they are passionate about their team and dont support the glamour clubs. I'm sure if we ever get back to the PL we would hate the top 4 to patronise us in the same way. I have enjoyed L1, we as a fanbase have seen success, a lot more victories and now have a more positive attitude when things are going against us. Lets see what the next season brings.

anyone hear the rendition of OWTS on PL darts in Bournemouth last night.? My daughter was there with her sign to the cameras 'Saints are going up'

I believe that the greens will have a lot to gain from AV. I dont think i could cope with a load of tree huggers running the country.

it does seem odd that we will cheer the players who helped us get relegated from the PL with a pathetic points total. One of the lowest ever in PL history, I still am amazed that team were unable to get more points in that league -
was is it just me that thought Bin Ladens compound was a bit like Fratton park but with less barbed wire

Mike have you taken into account the weight of a flag that size let alone the organizing of it being used?

Do you know what I can't get through my head is that the current generation coming through have have had global warming knocked into their skulls all their lives. Who is it who leaves the lights on? Who fills the bath with mainly hot water? Who can't be faffed to walk but drive? Who buys from Ikea and the like ,items that have a small life time and will need to be changed quickly using the worlds resources?

for me the problem is that our 30m cars is just a p### in the pond compared to the Chinese and indian cars spouting the muck into the atmosphere. i don't expect them to get back on their bikes after spending decades wanting to get off them

what route would it take, as you cant get to the ground for the free game i assume it would have to call in every road a saints fan is.

Ok thanks for that.

i assume it is a chance for parents to take their youngsters to watch a game, for ex-players to be shown some respect and generally for all to have a good time. It is not a serious event but another way to celebrate success. The JPT was never celebrated , even after the game of the season, so lets just not be negative and if some want to go then let them. if it means more saints shirts in the city and less chelsea man u ones etc then it is worth it. -
that's the problem for me as it must only be in the last 60 years or less that we can have a look at things world wide. The rapid flow of news of disasters straight to our tv's makes the problem look worse. 100 years ago there would be news of a flood in the Times and by the time it reached us the news would have moved on. Now with wall to wall news coverage the disasters seem closer and more castroshophic. Personall y i thin the sun has more to do with things than mans influence, although it must be a factor in the large picture.

Joe Kirkup scoring in the first minute watching my first League match 1968/69. leeds home we lost 3-1 -
Can you imagine the hostage situations that would arise from that?Let alone giving him the chance to spread his word to the nutters following him

so if it is a man made problem can anyone explain why the Romans grew grapes in the Uk when they were here,or why the Thames froze in the Victorian period ? As far as im aware they weren't zipping around in cars then. To me it is more scary than a man made problem, as there is a minute chance we could change it back.If it is nature then we are really doomed.

Brighton were fortunate that their 2 main rivals didnt play them earlier in the season at their place. The wheels would have come off for them sooner.

I suppose if people believe that the Twin Towers was a CIA conspiracy then they may believe Bin laden is alive. Personally i think the Yanks would not say he is dead when patently he only would have to show his face to discredit them. I suspect if the film is shown of his killing we can see if he was cowardly hiding behind his wife or if she threw herself in front of him to save him.

'Seeing Norwich fans celebrating last night I had a feeling of 'done that' - will they have 5 trips to Wembley in 2 years, finish 8th and 9th in successive seasons, win the FA Cup, compete in the UEFA Cup group stage?' A Pompey fan on their site This sums up exactly what i have felt all along. It doesn't matter what sanctions the club gets their 'long suffering fans 'Tm have the memories forever. This generation of pompey fans had experiences that 88 clubs fans would give their right arm for. They dont have any shame how they got those memories but just sup it all up. Who were right, the former owners of SFC who tried to do things by the book or the Pompey way. Perhaps Saints should have followed the Fratton way
