Kelvin is the current 'Marmite' player in the team. If a player was dropped after a howler then the team would be changed every week. Ox's missed header that he should have scored, Lallana not passing when that is the best option, the defenders who got in each others way all constitute match changing events. Should they be dropped on the back of that? i know KD's shortcomings but at present i would n't wish for us to risk changing the keeper. If it becomes a problem then lets try Bart, but at present he should have the gloves in the cup games so we can assess his quality, not in the important league games.

if he had been our keeper saturday, these critics would be on complaining about his kicking, or that is he only a good shot stopper lol
-
of course lol

same old problem , no energy or pace. Im all for playing 2 wide men, but Lallana is wasted out wide and was not able to get into the game. Ox looks to me to be an impact sub at present. MS just slows us down, and gives the opposition time to re-organise.KD made a howler, and Butterfield is not up to it. Can Harding play right back? We miss his overlapping runs. Why NA didn't put a sub on earlier was a madness IMO. No point picking the young players on the bench if you dont use them. Afterall he says they are not subs but impact players and so give them the chance to impact! The young forward may have pepped up the team, then take off MS and put Guly into midfield to add energy. Their keepr did make an outstanding save in the first minute that seemed to inspire Brentford.

Gomes did well yesterday, Green at WH is poor as well.I dont think KD is Pl standard, not now anyway. He did make a terrible mistake saturday. When their player shot i thought that it would be tricky.

i think Cotterill said a week or so ago that they can only have 1 more loan

Ho when you debate fairly you do yourself more favours than when you come on and give the ****y comments and so you get back a better response, therefore you are getting reasonable replies at present. As for your reply, it is interesting how you put the slant on Lampit. I suspect we all are wondering who/why he was parachuted in. In my opinion it was to clear up the mess for the PL,there are too many self interests for them not to make sure the trail runs dry.It astounded me that the fraud squad did not go in before AA and when he did he allowed PS to stick around watching. Add to that all the other people in this episode. I also believe there was a lot going on well before Gaydamek, and MM is not above being looked at. For all decent Pompey fans i care for the others!!

Ho, I had many tussles with you regarding the wages and debts you were running up at that time and well before that. I recall also when the papers came out and said you were 100m in debt and you came back and scoffed at it. As for saying Pompey did not owe 138m but only half !!!! For the club to have the debt they had to take it on. It is obvious when you are paying Crouchs of the world (as reported at the time 90k pw) but even if it was 50k and he was only 1 , you dont have to go long before you have massive debts. Saints were losing 500k a month with decent gates and average squad. We cant even say Sky money was that high in that period to offset yours. Add to that all the transfer fees and interest you were stacking up and at i suggest high rates and the debt soon becomes a mountain. As for blaming you as a fan for supporting the regime, i personally don't there is little i believe you could do to stop them, and anyway we all forget things during the good days. Under Lowe there were no protests as we went to Cardiff. I have as you know pulled you and your fans up for showing no remorse or shame that your club has stolen from small family businesses (twice) and you brushed that aside. This was before you went into Admin the 2nd time.

how about having emotions on every member who has infractions, a bit like the air aces did in WWII ? they could be yellow cards and red ones afterall it is a footballforum
-
Has Alpine been banned??
-
Well what do you call 3 Pompey fans standing together ? A thicket ...... or it could be a record crowd.......
-
May i add i have met Granty and Baj. Both are good lads,(to me they are still lads, must be mid to late 30's ....kidding) even though Baj never sent me a DVD he said he would Lol
-
who would ever want to run a football forum?????? This is madness, Granty and Baj have provided a service that I suspect makes them little if anything. Tot up the time and they will be in the negative. If they decide the aggro is too much and decide to pull the plug you will soon tire of the UI and its odd layout and way the posts are displayed. this site i believe is as good as any and whilst i feel that the posters are banned too easily, it is not my site and so respect their concerns. I like Deppo and the other off the wall posters, as they do lighten some of the more polarised threads, Baj has now stated that non members can start their own threads. Now there is no excuse to keep moaning about the site being quiet. Of course it is nothing to do with the fact that we are now a L1 club with the stuffing knocked out of us with little to get excited about.

I recall when we were in Admin you coming on as a adversary coming in peace. You were telling us how good TL and Pinnacle were. Reading your posts recently i can see that indeed you may well have known was a disaster it was and hiding your smirk behind your hand. For all your 'Im a decent Skate' i feel you really hate us and are as bad as many of your supporters in that. Many on here have fallen for your 'friendly demeanour' , Not me, give me Mack any day of the week.

I would want it this season for them. If they dont get any until next season (if ever of course) thye could go up and get another load of parachute payments. The FL clubs voting for an extra years para payments and Sullivan and Gold pushing for it makes me hope WHu go down. They were so desperate to stay up they did anything to support them and then when they get relegated they then accuse Pompey of cheating. Double standards me thinks

it is on whole litres only as well, i think you will find

I sickens to read that Phil.Of course all those moral crusaders can hold their heads up as the French Us or whoever reap the rewards of jobs and profits. Different cultures do things differently and 'when in Rome' etc etc. I would love all of these contracts to e on an even playing field but to not understand they are not is naive at best.60 billion ,what a sad loss of income
-
ask him how he feels about LM after he was Taylors number 2 and overlooked him for Geoff Thomas, just when he was one of the best in the country
-
Do you believe any of the revenues are still there? Afterall you were told that AA was going to have to stall any wages as you had run out of money to pay them. I dont know when the tv money comes in but any revenue up to this week end is gone /spent
-
well lets get a keeper who can diostribute but not so good at stopping goals. At the same time get a winger who doesnt beat as many players but can take a throw in. On saturday I saw a fan berate Davis and then a few around him put him in his place. KD is not the best keeper i have seen play for saints but he is a very good goalkeeper who has time and again saved us points. The defence know he isn't coming for the ball and so their job is to deal with the crosses coming in. The distribution thing comes 2 ways of course, how many times do defenders pass back and put him under pressure? he then has to send the ball into touch. He is like many other players, there are polarised opinions. i myself wish Bart luck when he comes in, but if the couple of times i saw him recently I fear for us. Anyone who went to Exeter in the league cup a couple of seasons back would have seen the most comical and alarming display EVER of a Saints keeper. I have seen a few and this was by far the worst. 1 match , yes but I doubt you would risk him catching a cold on that display. if he comes in then i won't hope he fails, but as always support the players ther best i can
-
Im not sure that the manager thinks as much. When i listened to Adkins on Solent he did not give him a ringing endorsement. He said something on the lines that he is paid to save those and then mentioned his mistake with Fonte. Did not say anything really positive like managers have in the past, whilst he took every opportunity to praise the likes of LB etc. KD is probably in his last season as first choice and so i'd expect another to be in goal next season. Many on here don't rate him, they expect Joe Hart, with a bit of Van Der Saar,Pat Jennings, and Bert Trautmann to be in our side lol
-
Sorry if it comes out that way, because i promise you I don't feel smug. I have just felt that there were too many interested parties who desperately needed this to be pushed under the carpet and wished away. There must be many people in world football whose dirty laundry could come to the surface for the truth to come out. IMO that is one of the reasons so much has been done to help them. Add to that the so called integrity of the PL being of utmost importance to them, has also helped their cause. I don't believe the PL wouldn't welcome them back as they in theory have been cleansed.Lol Time will tell whether coming out of the protection of Administration was a clever move. I do wonder that AA was getting a tad concerned that he was likely to become liable for any debts and so pushed Chanrai to do so. Who will lend them money now??? If they went back into admin would Chanrai lose his secured creditor status?
-
Can someone explain why AA is still running the club now they are not in admin?
-
I doubt it, there are not that many who are as deluded out there
