I have had a feeling that Chanrai has been hedging his bets and waiting to see what unfolds for them in the league. if they are close to the play-offs in jan he would be mad not to pump some cash in and go for the PL riches again. That squad is as good as most if not all in the CCC. It is beyond belief that a team that is in administration can field such a side. The media seem oblivious as well as the rest of football to it.

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

the taxes that are generated by the banking system would be replaced by what? Where are we going to get the heavy industries like Germany and japan. We all drive their products or use their Tvs etc all big tag products. It is a terrible situation and it is worrying for our children and children's children, whatever political persuasion you follow. -
if football had just been invented and they were to launch it, they would make it 40k stadia upwards, and regional teams. That would make the revenue streams far better. I see another break away coming with Mna u'd finances and the PL losing its gloss with so many ESPN type matches being played

If you are thinking of going to France be aware that there is no fuel to be had. I have had a French customer on the phone and it is nye impossible to get fuel due to their strikes against raising of the pensionable age. Trains, underground, planes are in chaos. The petrol stations are limiting fuel to £10 ,if they have any. Avoid going if you can.

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

Modern society is so soft. The first small cuts and there was bleating. The soft option is to keep borrowing and pass it on to the next generation, and on again. The moment Britain loses its AA credit rating and the interest charged is raised, our debts will spiral even more. Its like moving your mortgage from a low rate to a higher rate, madness. By doing nothing /little the rating will be effected. The Labour party telling us that they know what to do is laughable, oh yes lets tax the banks and so they move and all their taxes are lost. They are global , they wont think twice about upping sticks if they think it is worth it. What is our country left with then to earn us money? Labour took on a golden economy, the timing of them coming to power was perfect for Blair and co. Our national debt had been basically wiped out under the Tories and what are we left with? I don't wish for people to lose jobs, and would look to find ways of avoiding that but it is inevitable that this will happen. Too many jobs were manufactured by the last government and to have 40% of the population working for the state seems madness. Im not sure we have the skills to start big manufacturing again, but we need to find some fast. -
thanks for that, when i see a friend i will ask him about this. He is no longer at the club but was very much in the know and with the squad and so will be able to verify what you say.

WGS did well for a period when BT Bridge Killer and Marsden were playing superbly together. When he had to make signings !!!! We were left with a poor and bare squad. I still liked him but it was Emperors new clothes. he made us fitter and mean in defence but as soon as Briodgey and Marsden left we lost it.Then WGS decided to leave and let it be known and our spiral started then.

Ho's ok, he gets smarmy and precious at times but in the main he is just a football fan who defends his club.I bet he slags them off in company but defends them like mad when anyone dares to have a go....ring any bells with any on here.I know i do. i did smile when he put that Halford is in the squad and will play against Millwall but then qualifies it with 'allegedly' just in case it doesn't happen and he is found out again Lol. Even Ho is not 100% sure that AA etc are telling the truth

I agree that i would like to see the players belting out the song , but all people react different ways. i believe he loves playing for the country and does not need to sing the national anthem, afterall he may not be royally minded, isnt there a bit of irish in his background? Do you condemn Rebecca Adlington when she received her gold medal at the Olypics she was chatting to the girl next to her as the flag was raised, now that did p### me off

What about Crouch then? the granny thing is a bit over the top, i think she was in her 40's and had a child at a young age.I agree he went to a prossie and not someone throwing themselves at him, stupidity in many ways. It showed intelligence paying for it as in theory they don't spill the beans (bad wording lol) but if he picked up an aspiring 'model' they are more likely to go to the papers.

Just this morning i had a chat with Orange regarding their broadband package i have. it was 19.99 but they have reduced it to 15 pm plus 4 months free. They also had some other packages that included free weekend calls etc. They did say mine is unlimited and then went into a long thing about the extra GB i had compared to others and are sending me some fantastic hub thing. The operator was quite upbeat about it. I woulod look at them as i have found their staff very good and helpful (Geordies)

it is an interesting development, AA actually not agreeing to them raising their wage bill. Surely Cotterill had asked permission to get the lad in???? Perhaps AA doesn't rate him and is not one of his choices Lol

apparently he could have taken Papa back and did nothing to get Antonio signed up.

He is one of the few quality players we have, the problem being with all our so called world class players they end up making too many trips up and down the motorways filming tv adds etc. it tires them out. The agents are getting them deals but it is ruining their football. Rooney loves playing football but his body cant keep up with the constant stress As for his 'indiscretions' i doubt any red blooded male would be able to turn down what these men are offered 24/7 every day of their lives.

SAF won't walk away but will retire soon. He so wants to beat Liverpools record of championships but has not the squad to do it. Standing back and looking in from the lower leagues you can see the way the PL has waned. There are too many ESPN quality matches and not enough to get your blood rushing. To refresh, the big clubs will need to pull away again and make another league without the Blackburn Boltons Wigans of the world (and dare i say us etc) The PL has been diluted by many small clubs in the last few seasons and the glamour of big crowds and atmospheres from that is a big problem for them IMO. IMO there will have to be a minimum stadium size and regionally based league for them to keep generating money. If we happened to go up again, how could we hope to get a great squad together unless big money is thrown at it and i can't see us doing it. Football has moved away from the small and medium sized teams and can only really keep up by splitting away and creating a CL type competition every week. It is depressing but Man u and Liverpools debts are so big they will be looking to move the goalposts so they can generate more, how do thy do that? Have a much smaller league but play each other 4 times instead of twice a season. The Tv companies will love it and by negotiating their own tv deals the big clubs will cash in.
-
Man u are on the verge of pettering out, Man city within 10 years will be overshadowing them in football terms. The Pl is only Premier by name not product. There are only 3 footballers in the PL who would get into the Barca or RM team. Rooney Drogba and Gerrard, wheras their teams would fill our top clubs sides. Rooney would be more than hapy to take 500k pw and join Man c. He is frustrated at the poor quality of player around him and Mnau 's debts are so severe they will not strengthen. Add SAF age and close to retiring and that makes them all the more weaker long term

Pardew left us short. He oversaw the non replacement of Antonio and Papa, the same mistake the club not replacing Killer, we will live to rue the fact. It is obvious you cant rely on your centre forward to score 30 goals every season. LB and Connelly are of no pace and can only play of a big man not play alone up front. I fortunately did not believe that we would walk the league and others have overtaken us.
-
Unbelievable if it was anyone else. Pompey and you know it is going to happen. Halford another multi million pound player that a club in admin has signed. It seems as soon as posters on here talk toast AA puts up a finger and moves to the next stage.
-
Pompey will be wound up only if it looks like AA's firm will be picking up the tab. The FL by letting Pompey kick off the season are in a position where it will mess up their league if they don't back them. Therefore I believe the FL will have ot back down to let them fulfill their fixtures. AA is cynical in his managing of this and knows he still has the best hand of the two. He is probably surprised that the FL have shown more backbone than the PL but still would expect ot get his way. he knows each time he runs to the press about winding up ,they back down just a bit.

It is a nonsense to attack the Chapel 2nd half and give the oppo the advantage kicking to their fans. The last 2 games we have kicked to the Northam and won. i would put money on that the % of wins us attacking the Northm being higher. Liverpool Man u etc aslways kick to their noisier fans 2nd half
