Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)
OldNick replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
All fair but we dont know what ML will has stated. All fantasy and missing the point no doubt but the club is not as it was 12 months ago and there must be reasons for that -

well IMO I think it is. Most of the fans didn't know the songs let alone who the chairman is FFS -

The model was always going to be one of living off your own means. hence every penny is being screwed from wherever it can be. ML set the club debt free, and gave it a small injection of funds to get it running ( I assume, no facts to back that up)from then on there was a rush to get us up the leagues. AP's failure to do so first season would have been a major disappointment IMo but the revenue flowed in. The untimely death of ML has really thrown a spanner in the works, and our comfort blanket has been removed. Even if the family do have an interest ,almost certainly probate has put a stop to any new funds and to be fair their eyes will be on funding their core businesses not ML plaything. NC is being unfairly targeted by restless and IMO thoughtless fans who cannot understand why we are not splashing the cash. I am not above criticism in that, as I call for new front men etc. If the Liebherr family indeed are not fussed about us, I suggest NC would be the first person they will offer us to, you never know that may have been ML's dying wish. -

he was the front of the Pinnacle group. Unfortunately it turned out to be the Panic-le group the moment it came to putting up the money. Iam divided about him, Imsure he did it for the best intentions but whether he was ever in a position to actually move I dont know. -
LeGod I for 1 am not trying to decry what AP did but point out the unfair comparison that was put forward about results. IMO the squad is not as strong as last season and I dont think anyone can say the squad without Antonio and Papa is as good. Well done AP another nearly man

I assume that Tony Lynhams post means that there is a possibility that NC may take the club over. I do wonder if the siblings of ML are at all interested, after-all we don't all follow our parents interests. -

I thought it was second half, when we had won the game and the waves had started and the cameras panned on NC ML etc -

he is one of the few ex player loans who came back and was given a good reception by the fans. He even came back and did a lap of honour with, the team on the last day of a season. Again not pacey but a willing worker for the team. Quite happy with that one. Not sure how he will fit in with Guly if he is going to be in centre midfield though -

but you are wrong about the boos at the JPT , they were done to fans not carrying on a Mexican wave. The majority of fans that day would not know who Cortese was -

Steve on this occasion I can't agree. The instant dismissal seems to me an instant disnmissal. I agree that AP may have been under pressure but I think NC had no choice to act as something must have happened that day. -

because they want their time in the sun and it doesn't come out very often for them -
I saw Guly for the first time on tuesday and when he was put in central midfield he looked a very decent player. Very Vierra like in his running and aggresion.Obviously not likely to be as good but he will become a real top player for us if he adapts to the new climate and club. When he scored he did not run to the fans but to Fonte. I hope he fits in, if he does we have a new hero for the future
-
again in genereal were good last season but we have lost 2 of our pacey unpredictable players and our main goalscorer is in a drought. You cannot rely on 1 man to get you 30 goals a season
-
yep and 2 of those have not been replaced another not able to play 90 minutes

yep @I have a call from Southampton they have offered £1m pound for our c/f,, oh and Brighton have offered 500k' 'take the 500k as they gave us free drinks' I suspect we expect reciprocal treatment when we go away, paying your own way and no hangers on. That is my viewing of the situation. I noticed that NC gave the MKDons chairman a glowing reference and so they may also be on the same wavelength regarding how things should change,I expect Hearn would also be of the same mind. -
Yes there were pictures done and a very good DVD, with a very good hard hitting managers interview.............. and one by Phil. It was a limited edition DVD, very rare and valuable. Its value is as much as a years membership on here

wasnt there some talk of the man who bought man city being involved somewhere?Thaksinatwa

very symmetrical as well, gone are the days that they stood with their mates. Looks like we have a case of a photographer with OCD

it would have been with his squad though

Old practices that to an non-footballing person seem mad. I doubt he has much in common with most Chairman of the lower league clubs, he probably thinks they are not worth much of his time, and small change as they voted for the PL extra parachute money to get few thousand more every year. That in the long run will cost clubs with ambition like ours from getting back to the PL. I know 100% that the Bournemouth people are very unhappy at the way they were treated earlier in the season, they were put in one of the normal matchday lounges (Mick Channon suite ??? carvery) and were not given the normal nicities that are normally provided. The bar bill was a massive surprise (£138 not the reported amount) idont wish for our club to look like pariahs and Im sure that Saints new ethos of paying your own tab will not be shied away from when our people are charged likewise when we travel away.ML paid for his tickets and the business model seems to be 'no freebies'period -
but it worked last season on the PL and so they think it will again. A level playing field is not signing 20k a week players for the CCC

I did, it got a good one of you 3, our 2 goal hero of the forum match is in there as well and OOHTerry
