  1. True, it wouldn't have anything to do with football and team spirit. Crabby obviously enjoys losing
  2. The Mogadon team talk really worked Lol. My team of braves had won the game by halftime. The injustice of the year before had been totally erased. We were so comfortable, in the second half i was able to relax and sit in the stands, even the Ref advised me to do so. I think Granty did you a favour cancelling this years as your embarrassment again would match the socks you wore. My PM box is full of messages of your team asking to be in my side, as they couldn't cope having to flick through all the piccys of you carrying Tigers bags and getting his food from the canteen.
  3. you must have really low esteem, you need to go and get some advice from the Doc
  4. interesting Tweet on Guido Fawkes about another PL footballer who may become prominent in the news quite soon. Not sure in what way, must be another injunction.
  5. Thanks, the costs investigating the old company could be pretty high
  6. before costs and expenses, so what costs and expenses can be deducted from the 20in the £ ?
  7. yep happy birthday Ron, the player who really sparked my imagination supporting Saints
  8. ESB you have got it in 1 IMO. I have been banging on about how the authorities have been duped time and again and many mocked me especially when I stated that i felt people pulled back when the PM (Brown) came out and said about not letting the club die etc etc. I believe that there is corruption being hidden all the way to the top of the powers in world football and where those tentacles end up ! It is extraordinary that the media have not questioned why the compliance officer of the FA happened to end up at the club that actually seems to have flouted those rules. It stinks and the smell of rotten fish fills the air of football. Mack is a decent type and he knows that it is rotten but like us throws his hands up that this happens to the beautiful game. If the Russians buy Pompey then we will go through the same again, buying lots of high value stars to get up to the PL and then hope that the throw of the dice will get the jackpot to pay off the debt and make a turn. It may be a blessing that some strong squads have been relegated as that will make the job a lot harder for them (us as well of course0
  9. iam not doubting your qualities, you are obviously a very intelligent person. I understand a lot of what you say about waste but we all miss things in front of our eyes. I have been in my business for over 35years and been fairly successful but I am not arrogant enough to think that younger fresher and people looking from a different angle may see things i miss. To audit such a vast budget must be a nightmare. Another thing that in one of your posts you mention the cost of drugs that your mother had. I think you said it had a cost of 200k. Only a few of us will pay that much and more into the kitty in our lifetime. I wonder how the nation can afford that especially as it is replicated 100,000's a times a year on patients of the NHS. All life is precious but how can we go on affording these costs? I'am not saying it shouldn't be done but where do the funds keep coming from? As we live longer the costs are just shooting up therefore saving where we can becomes more important. Those empty buildings are using precious resources.
  10. a family friend plays for Luton. He is a smashing lad and a good footballer. So i want Luton to win
  11. i believe that the web went so far up the football 'family' throughout world football and associations that they could in no way let all the stuff come to light. It does seem odd or massive a coincidence that the Football Association’s ex-head of integrity as CEO happens to have parachuted in. That many of the former executives were still in position well into the admins direction and do we know if all the computer data and records were left intact or due to clerical error much lost. It is heartening to see that there is going to be proper investigation into the clubs affairs and i dearly hope that the information required is still hiding deep in the computers hard drive.
  12. true and it probably was innocent but you don't see that often on captions. As usual im wrong lol
  13. Im no doctor but taking sleep potions will not help long term. I suspect it is stress related. At particularily stressful times I wake at 3-4 and can't get back to sleep. it is annoying but you worrying about not sleeping might just add to the problem. Saints are going up, so you should be nice and relaxed.
  14. Im not condoning it, but I assume the Met were still smarting from PC Blakelocks murder and how the ranks were closed to stop his killers coming to justice at the time.
  15. is it me or does the caption have a racist undercurrent? The 2 black footballers, the one we are talking about has number 42 on his shorts so you know which one it is.
  16. i can't fathom why a man who is so wealthy got caught first time, then must know by now he has not purchased rhino horn but a prehistoric dog turd. To then try and lever another 3m out of some other unsuspecting fools is just plain madness.
  17. that is a saints fan pretending to be a Skate and so i don't think it is too much to laugh at. Lol
  18. Even the stupidest copper would not have done that....surely.
  19. Bournemouth did well and probably deserved to go through on the night. They have quite a few decent players and many will be going now i suspect.
  20. a thread was started on the main board saying that the Russians had pulled out of buying Pompey, nothing on here about that. Anybody seen anything on those lines today?
  21. if they are guilty then it is time they paid their dues
  22. The reporter did not say where in Southampton.Of course the whole thing could have been made up by the media
  23. you do come across as one patronising old bird BTF, but I'm sure you are not like it face to face It is clear there are massive costs to the NHS but it is so easy to just pay and not sort out the waste. You were involved and it is quite concerning that you are so flippant about the waste that goes on and seem oblivious that things should be done to save money so it can be channeled to the right services. i hate to see homes and services cut, the nation cannot afford for the budget to keep going up and up, and so to stop the cuts at the sharp end money needs to be saved at teh soft end. Empty buildings and paying high rents for empty property is an easy place to start.
  24. if only it was only 1 building. So 70% of cases are now day surgery, not so many beds ,less days being nursed, fewer buildings but then you say we need more money and savings can't be made. Funny old world the NHS lives in
  25. it must be the meetings i have had with Dubai Phil. Lol I was a great admirer of Wenger but I believe he has ruined Walcott. By now Walcott should have been one of the best players in the PL , but Wenger seems to knock his confidence by not giving him the full match. You see the young talented players in the Arsenal youth team and how few have really came on to make the grade. That youth system has been in place for a longtime now and is not producing the players i had expected to come through by now.
