My thoughts are with you Daren.
-
Can the creditors do nothing about this? Surely it is breaking of a contract
-
Ok I didn't get that you meant NA was a keeper. I still think it is laughable that people say KD is a shotstopper, what the hell is a keeper supposed to be?? We are a third tier football team and have a 2nd tier goalkeeper. Find a good shotstopper, distributor, good on crosses , commands an area and you won't find one in world football. You will find many who can do most things but you wont tick all the boxes. there is not a keeper who hass never made errors and it is a shame that we can't see how good a keeper we have in this league. Personally i think we should be looking for another keeper as time will take its toll and KD should not be our first choice next season. Bart IMo is not the answer but Id be happy for him to have his chance but form the time i met him and other friends have he is too insular and shy to make it to the top, i do hope Im wrong though
-
well if he was so happy why go for an interview???? Surely he would have said thanks but no thanks and not bothered to even travel. Lots of self interest and covering by all sides i suspect
-
they shouldn't have been in any of the major football leagues. They are above us remember and closer to returning to the PL than we are
-
Poor finishing and lack of pace is why we have had a poor start. I can't prove we would have done better with those 2 in the side but I suggest we did look a lot better with them at our disposal. The games we have lost have been down to weak finishing, teams playing all the men behind the ball and us giving away soft goals. The overall performances have not been that bad.
-
the overall fee from UHY will be massive compared to the 86k mentioned already. I can't remember the figure but I recall Bournemouth's admin cost in excess of 200k
-
We all wish for more width but that is not the major problem as we were winning plenty under AP with his game. the difference now is the pace of Antoinio and theunpredictablilty of Waigo is missed. I laugh at the constant dig at KD, you will in time be able to say you are right when a KD makes a gaff (all keepers are prone to it) but go back and look at the match reports over the last 3 seasons and you will see time and again 'fantastic stop by Kelvin' etc etc. Adding that you were a keeper means nothing, you may be brilliant at it or utter sh## doesn't mean you know the whole game, and if you believe that to be the case, i was a midfielder and attacker and so my thoughts on that override yours.I doubt you would agree in that case though. Paverotti was a wonderful singer, i didn't need to sing at the Albert hall to realise that.

Of course I understand win %'s and how they can be skewed but 42% is still average if you factor in Scunny's low budget etc. He has done very well at a small club, but that tells us nothing about his capabilities at a larger club. My feelings are that it would have been the same gamble taking Howe on who has IMo achieved as much with far more constraints, and is younger and perhaps more steely to give the so called stars a kick. From the bit i know of Howe he is not to be messed with and is very determined to make it big.

that is very good

Yes we must get out of this league quickly so that any financial advantage we MAY have can be used before the big parachute payments from the PL really kick in and there is no way to compete. I no doubt will back NA to the hilt, but my love of football generally is waning. Long gone is the enthusiasm of turning up to watch my beloved Saints
-
I wish you luck. Are you getting a ticket at the Emirates now?
-
The administrator may well also charge a commission on sales. i know that was the case when a colleague in my trade had an administrator working on his business. Stock that was sent to auction not only attracted the auction fees but also a percentage going to the administrator. Would that happen on any transfers? Perhaps Clapham or bucks saint can tell us.

It is in my interests NA is a success and so I hope the appointment is correct. I am very far from being excited about his appointment.I understand win percentages mean nothing but 42% is very average. He got promotion he 2nd time by the play-offs and so he is hardly a messiah. I will support him, but i can't see how he will lead us back to the PL as he has no experience there and so if we are picking him for his ability to get us out of this league i assume he will only be here for 2 years and then we go for someone again. I think that the next couple of weeks when/if we get players and if they inspire me i will perhaps warm a bit more to him. No doubt my thinking has been effected by my desire to have had Howe. Yes he has little experience but his achievements have been exceptional under the constraints he has worked under. He is the younger version of NA, no experience in the top flight but getting promotion. I firmly beleive he will become a top PL manager one day and feel we may have missed a top man in the long run.
-
not from 30 managers who applied though As for B'mouth and Scunny , what makes you say we have a credibiltiy problem with them? We are no different than most other clubs we just think there is a problem
-
If there is a transfer committee I would expect they would have got some names lined up.NA will also have some players in his mind
-
True Phil , we will see if the club get in some new faces that NA wants. This squad is not good enough and all those who say we have the best in the league are deluded IMO.We cant even keep a clean sheet. Morgan is not good enough to be the main man in midfield and as for the lack of pace!!!!
-
our squad is weaker than it was last season. We need not only a manager
-
I do hope NA doesnt emulate LM's first season
-
I desperately want Adkins to do well, I still think Howe will turn into a top manager (another impressive win today) and disappointed he was not the one. Hurry up and get NA in so we dont have too much to catch up.He really needs to get our forwards scoring and a lot more pace
-
Iam hoping but still hold little faith it will happen. Who is going to do the in depth investigation? The administrator. The new owners interests are not served by lots of penalties being applied to the club eg points penalties. Therefore i dont have faith that it really will be dealt with like it should. I hope AA proves me wrong and is like a bulldog trying to get to the bones, but who will pay for the turkeys voting for christmas? We have seen a major event played out in front of our eyes and nothing has been done, as i still maintain Pompey will get away with it

PES you only have to have read about ML to know how the club was to be financed. After the initial ridding it of any debt it was to run on its own earnings. That is why NC is trying to squeeze every available penny from its resources. i do believe there will be some funds given regarding the staplewood but in the main the club has to stand on its own feet. I dont believe we will be in the position to buy £20m players and the wages to go with it. You have been given by hook and lots of crook some wonderful memories on the back of bending cheating and scraping. They can't be taken away but please don't come on here all hurt as many resent how you got those. The expense of many young kids and devoted football fans of other clubs who were robbed of their day in the sun by your corrupt football club, who had cheated their way to get to the cup finals by fielding a team of stars 16-20k gates could not support. When justice is eventually served then perhaps your club can get some honour and pride back If only all football clubs did the same football would be a much more even playing field. Your club of course would be playing in Paulsgrove as it does not have anything to support it without major outside funding.

just another Skate trying to be clever....a oxymoron if there ever was one.
