it makes me laugh all the snobs who sneer at the Sun Mail etc, what makes people arrogantly believe what is right and wrong to read. They are the market leaders and wipe the floor with the opposition. The Guardian etc is fine if you are looking for a job in the civil service but if it wasnt for those (situations vacant, government) revenues I doubt it would survive. I don't take any newspapers but if i did it would be one of those 2 or the Times, as i like its format. As for NC visiting NI fair play, they obviously want to build bridges enough to show him around.

PES you used to be a decent poster but you have become a bitter Skate and have sunk to Ho's level. All your platitudes about you wanting Tony Lynham to save us etc were all a sham. Perhaps all along you knew it was a nonsense but were just on a wind up. Merovian and mackRill are the only 2 who really can hold their heads up on here as being humourous and decent. I know there are a lot who are pretty harsh to your lot on here but to come on and compare us and the running of our club to yours is ridiculous. NC is rubbing the press up the wrong way but that does not mean he is a fool or bad, perhaps professional, would you say Storrie and his soundbites is better?
-
well if that is the case why make it public?
-
I assume he turned it down as he looked like second choice, and probably was. I would have preferred him rather than Adkins but que sera
-
their chairman has decided to keep his mouth shut then. NC has called his bluff it seems.
-
it is as true as any other statement that has come out today.
-
Adkins has NOT signed - and may not do so now either !!!

That Weston saint certainly has a charm but idol??? -
You think that 2 days on the training pitch , getting to know the players and go through some routines, is worse than having a new man in place our squad turning up to training expecting to meet the new man only to be told 'He doesn't want to meet you yet he thinks saying goodbye to his old team is more important' I doubt he would make a massive difference, but any would be important. Again we dont know if this is truly the case but if so, a mistake.
-
shouldn't you be at Pompey dockyard?
-
it is a big mistake
-
i cna see both sides but are we a bunch of pussies. We have started the season badly and so need a manager getting the side prepared for an important game. Yes he should go and say his goodbyes but immediately before a game ????

FF but in May Rooney was happily married England were in with a chance of the world cup etc etc. We dont know what happened, and i suspect your sources are not as clued up as they were with this new regime. It saddens me that a fan as commited as you have been so easily turns on the one it loves -
that is all well and good but it is thursday, he would not have got to training until tomorrow. Hardly the preparation before a game. Surely he could go and say goodbye sunday or monday.
-
are you trying to compare a club that is being run professionally and in line with proper finance and business practice and your grimy heap. PES you should go away and hang your head. Your club have cheated beyond reason, and deprived the revenue (the nation) of funds, add to that barefaced bending of rules and there is no comparison. Perhaps our club is being run by a tough chairman and we dont know if the club was bought on borrowings, but one thing is for certain it is not trading insolvently and used every dodge in the book to avoid paying its way
-
Fulham had the same situation recently when the press said Martin jol had the job but Fulham ended up with M Hughes. it was staed then that Hughes was not second choice, they got on with it and it is forgotten
-
I respectfully suggest that we ddint think the compensation he was asking was due, not that it was. The club statement says they accept compensation was due, unless there is a belief that the club is lying, something that i would never adhere to

SSN reporting that S****horpe say the offer to Adkins is withdrawn

at present the Scunny chairman is losing. he has scuppered his managers chance of moving to a bigger arena, his players will be unsettled as they know NA will be leaving in the near future. Both clubs are hurt -
but as soon as we approached them to talk to his manager he may have had an axe to grind. i had no axe to grind with Spurs/Man City? Sunderland until they unsettled our managers in the past. The Scunny chairman has his own agenda and may have misread how to deal with NC
-
I suspect that NA was in poll position but i wouldn't side with the Scunny chairman before hearing our side. The OS statement was clear and cut down all the accusations. By recognising the fact that the manager was under contract and that the club accepted compensation was due pours scorn on the Scunny chairmans version IMO
-
the9, you are normally the voice of reason! have you been taken over by an alien?
-
again it is hearsay. Im sure somebody said on here they saw MLT at the stadium but i could have been wrong. The same rumour was about him at Wembley but then he was in a corporate box. i doubt he has time to go to games with his Sky commitment either. I have no doubt that NC is a difficult man to dela with though, but is mildly successful in life and so must do somethings right.
-
but MLT is not banned as far as Im aware. What aobut the contrators?
-
if we ever have negotiations with other clubs regarding a maanger i doubt that they will spill the beans before time. Phone up Bournemouth and get Howe he is on a par to NA
-
I have seen the Scunny chairmans quote but I have not seen any of the contractors at Staplewood, benali and Sky's. What were they?
