The Budget VAT Up - What do the LIB DEMS say to that

I take your word on that BTF, but if you can say hand on heart that you are the norm I'd be very cynical -
The Budget VAT Up - What do the LIB DEMS say to that

i can promise you (Believe me o not) that i had not read that item. A friend of mine who retired some years ago now, was working at a town hall putting in a computer system and the other staff thought he was a council employee. A few times it was said to him that 'he hadn't been off sick, and so should have a sickie' He is very disrespectful of these people who he calls 'glorified file carriers' as they just seem to walk the corridors carrying files from office to office but doing nothing. it may be very unfair and i dont want to offend true public servants -
Are you saying that Buffon is going to tun them down as well?

I would think that ML would have more taste than that. It is a lottery winners pad IMO

Andy i dont wish to seem as Im tarring everyone with the same brush. There are many magnificent people working in the public services. i think the major source of my gripe is the town halls. As i say a lot have got into bad practices that would not be tolerated in the private sector. I would prefer that the public sector employees made the savings by becoming more efficient and stop some the the waste. In doing so they would perhaps save a lot of redundancies. If a client contacts the majority of private companies and says that they are running behind would they stay on, for an hour or so, it is done without thinking, can you confidently say that if you contact the departments in a town hall there is a chance that would happen. in my experience you are lucky to get the phone answered 20 minutes before clocking off. Andy also may i add, the 'stress level ' thing really does get on my goat, they dont know what stress is. I will exempt people at the frontline dealing with the public in the DHSS offices, social care, hospitals etc, but not in the administration areas. -
you know Pompey will get permission, AA knows he will it is only us who think the FL will have the balls to say no. The Kanu thing yesterday, now 'we have no keepers' today, next week it will be that Requilme signed a deal before the end of last season and the league must have missed his registration. Pompey had proof as Corp Ho was on here and told us it was happening, and so they wil send copies of his posts and that will be signed off as well.

Not a myth there were figures out last year stating that there are far more sick days taken in the public sector. As for a ridiculous sentence, it doesn't even make my top top 20. Your posts strike me that you had worked there, it may just be me that thought so -

It's a cunning plan, I said I was resigning as one of the Forum match managers before the last game.I was Nickh then. After our magnificent victory i was having second thoughts!!! Also if i decided to put my boots on and played people may have forgotten my posts from before, but then I notice my name changes on all those old ones -
yep and there were verbal agreements with all the players they want to resign but not for the ones they dont Lol i bet it wasn't on the 10k a week cap either
-
or been thinking about doing Lol
-
so there is no 'No's' then

It only goes to the managers, they can then dissect the game and have a team meeting to talk through , Sorry. Our team meeting is in Florida where I can beam it back, the team have to pay for the manager to get there of course -

The politicians and top civil servants/mandarins dont live in the real world. They come from a breed that feels it is superior and wouldn't wish to travel with the great unwashed. I dont see why a civil servant traveling to europe needs to go in any better grade than economy. They after all are representing the people from economy and so should mix and feel as one. For decades the top civil servants have been fighting to stop US (the people) finding out about their perks, now it has been found out they don't like it. The masses have had to pull their belts in and so so should whitehall. The majority of the low paid public sector workers work hard and I was delighted that they were specifically given tax breaks and a rise. I watched in amazment the French civil servants marching yesterday as they are now expected to work until they are 62!! If they wish to retire early then they should pay higher proportions of their salary into a pension that supports them, not expect the general workforce to pay their retirement. -

John, you I assume work in the public sector. You will have first hand knowledge of waste. If the public sector workers got a grip and pointed out waste and stopped it.Whether it be not using so much stationary, taking sickies then there would be less job reductions. it is in your hands. Phone one of the planning offices or any other service before 10 on a monday or after 3 on a friday and the majority of time you get a secretary who will say they are at a meeting etc.Bad practices are rife IMo and I feel that many do not work as hard as the private sector. -
I dont see the hype about the German team. They beat Ausralia 4-0 , against 10 men. If we play to our ability we must win.

' quote Lol at this thread getting to 13 pages worth of pointless boll*cks. Anyone that actually believes these guys got 12 months for shaking a fence and perhaps throwing a coin is almost as f*cking moronic as the goons that have gone down for acting like tw*ts in full view of the police and cameras. Everyone knows that football violence carries harsher sentancing, and saying 'think about the people and their families etc' Boll*cks, i feel sorry for their families for being related to such a bunch of idiots, i don't feel sorry for someone that goes out and commits a crime, i wouldn't feel sorry for someone that lost their driving licence for being over the limit, i wouldn't feel sorry for someone that went down for throwing a punch in town when 'he is not normally like that' and i certainly don't feel for these guys. Hopefully a stint inside will make them actually THINK about their families, jobs etc themselves. ' end quote I thought I'd add a quote from the main forum, a bit of devilment SS really

I have sympathy for him. He obviously lost his soul mate and turned to gambling. Normally I would not have this position, but seeing him interviewed and seeing how his life had been turned upside down i felt sad for him. Was he not left with a very young child as well?

it could be that a lot on here have no humour. Considering Harry Hill is supposedly a comedy genius, then perhaps Im missing something there

but all of the Argentinian team would have been signed up by other teams by then......although i suspect most will wait for Pompey
